Park Slope New Year's Eve resto?

Jen, I am wondering what place you are alluding to. We spent 2 - 3 NYE's at Mike and Tony's (also gone) and found it great- regular menu, professional service, and nice balloons decorating the space.

Da Nonna Rosa in Park Slope

Went there when it first opened. Meal was fine. Decided to try it because an extremely nice manager (sorry; forgot his name) from La Villa is now there.

Honestly, we like La Villa better and it closer to our house than Da Nonna.

Good restaurant for an awkward dinner

I and, am sure some of my fellow hounders, are dying to know how it went. Where did you decide to go? Could you cut the tension with a knife. Was any cutlery or beverages thrown?

Need hounders help for dinner in Mystic!

We are driving from Brooklyn, NY to the Cape and staying over in Mystic one night going and one night coming back. Where shall we go for dinner? Looking for good food, not too fancy, not too expensive.

Thank you very much in advance for your assistance.

Jon

Any Reports on Chagall Bistro? (Park Slope)

I am re-posting my question. I posted when they first opened at the end of March and received no replies. Too early to ask maybe.

Enjoyed going to Belleville from time to time. It is gone and a Kosher (closed Fridays and Saturdays) French spot has gone in.

Has anyone tried it?

Thanks.

Tell me more, please? Same dishes as Al Di La?

So, I saw Emiliano (owner) on the fish line at the Prospect Park greenmarket on Saturday and he was telling another fan that he has a place on Washington. Has anyone been? What is the name?

As always, thank you fellow hounders.

What happened to Moutard? (Park Slope)

I think it is so interesting and fantastic that my post evolved into a discussion of the way 5th Avenue was. My two cents- We moved from Carroll Street to 5th Avenue 14 years ago and even then the feeling was quite different bodegas stiil were on almost every book and there were different types of people in the community. I remember the really nice Korean guy who had a store on the corner of Union and 5th who had almost every flavor of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. He would often be on the street practicing his golf swing.

Closed before the holidays at the end of last year.

Did they skip?

(Did you know they filmed a scene from Julia and Julie there?)

Where to go in Chinatown?

The last several years we have just been going to Joe's for soup dumplaings. We are ready to expand our Chinese cuisine horizons.

What is a superior place in Chinatown for lunch or early dinner?

Coffee in Park Slope

I guess it was not your cup of tea, Peter (pun intended!) The people that worked there were extremely nice, the store had a small town gathering spot feel, and most importantly, the coffee was good and reasonably priced.

Does anyone have information if, when, and where "Leaf and Bean" is going to reopen. It is a tremendous loss to the hood.

FINALLY! Good Chinese food to order in , in Park Slope (Michael and Pings)

BrookBoy, I think your comments are right on. And I am glad you gave M and P another chance. Try a pork main dish with Hamilayan red rice next time you order.

FINALLY! Good Chinese food to order in , in Park Slope (Michael and Pings)

Forgive me if this has been posted/discussed before. But we are extremely delighted with Michael and Pings. A variety of choices, always delivered hot and within 20 minutes. Now I am not going to say that it is fantatstic Chinese food, but it is the best in Park Slope. Last night we had 2 soups (egg drop and wonton) They were delicious and freshly made. We followed with samosas and pork dumplings. Excellent. We have also had a various main dishes: all very good. I also like that they know your address by your phone number; cuts down the time in ordering.
