New to West Hollywood, please help

I have to say, coming from New York, I was pretty impressed with Vito's. We tried it last week and I would definitely go back. The place even had a NY pizzeria aroma when you walked through the door.

New to West Hollywood, please help

My wife and I just moved to West Hollywood from New York City and we are looking for some good restaurant suggestions. We are just east of La Cienega and half way between Santa Monica and Melrose. I have seen tons of places around, especially on Melrose and Santa Monica, but any insight to miss the duds would be much appreciated. We love smaller mom and pop type places and nothing crazy expensive. Favorites are Thai and Mexican but really dont dislike anything. Please please help!

Local Boston must see?!?!

My wife and I are visiting Boston for the first time from Monday thru Wednesday. What are the best authentic spots locals would recommend? We want to avoid tourist areas if it all possible, but really want the real Boston cuisine experience. We would love any good hole-in-the-wall and mom and pop recommendations. Mainly looking for seafood but always open to the best cheap spot for food and a cocktail/brew/vino. Thanks.

My 1st Anniversary in LA

I am relatively new to LA and my first anniversary is coming up soon. I want to take my wife to a great place but am still pretty unfamiliar with almost all of LA. Ideally I would love a place with lots of atmosphere, views even possibly outdoor seating.

Mexican, Thai, American and Italian would be preferred.

Last but not least, I am looking to get the most bang for my buck. I can't really go for the most expensive places, but it is my 1st Anniversary, so I will make it work. Please let me know good restaurant suggestions, thanks so much.

Chili Crab in NYC???

I just watched the season premiere of Anthony Bourdain tonight and saw the chili crab in Singapore. Wow it looked amazing. Anyone know where you can get any of that in NYC? I would love to know.

union square dinner recs for friends who don't like anything "weird"

Grey Dog Coffee on University is very casual and some of the best sandwich/salad/soup spots in the city.

Cheap NYC Landmarks/Staples?

A few different friends said that it was going to get run out in all the LES new developments. I hope they are wrong as well.

Cheap NYC Landmarks/Staples?

I have recently heard that Katz's Deli is going to be closing sometime in the future. So I have decided that I want to make sure I hit most of NYC's remaing staples before they are all gone. I have had:

Ray's Pizza
Grimaldi's Pizza
Grey's Papaya
2nd Ave Deli (sad to see it go)
Ess-A Bagel (on 21st and 1st)

I am sure there are tons more. Throw out your favorites if you don't mind. Thanks.

Maya, Pampano or other Mexican

If you are open to a unique but great atmosphere, go to Florencia 13. This place is all about the food and drinks. It is a bit small but well worth the wait. Amazing food and marghs.

Looking for Cozy Italian for Bday Celebration

Tantti Bacci on 7th ave and Charles St. They have two entrances. One outdoor on 7th Ave, another on Charles St. Very small and homey, but very cute.

10-12 people for a 25th birthday party

I want to make reservations for my girlfriends 25th birthday party, for this Saturday, the 11th. It is preferred to stay south of CPS but north of Canal. I am hoping for somewhere that 10-12 of us can fit comfortably. Outdoor or indoor is fine, and maybe something in the $10-$15/plate range (for entree). I am open to any type of cuisine, I prefer no Italian. Maybe Mexican, Cuban, American, really open to anything. Thanks for your help.

Last Meal in NYC

We actually already tried to get a res at Balthazar and many others, but it was booked. We also tried Po, August, Phesant, Craft, Pearl Oyster Bar, River Cafe, Stanton Social, and Public.

I know this is kind of a tall order at the last minute, but if there are any other suggestions, let me know. Thanks.

Last Meal in NYC

After living here for four years my roommate is leaving NYC for good. We are looking for a great place for six of us to go out Friday night for one last dinner in NYC. What are your best suggestions?

fish tacos, revisited

I have to agree with Katherine on this one. Florencia 13 has great fish tacos. But then again, they have great everything!

I am originally from Texas and it took me years to find good mexican food in NYC. While Florencia is more of a SoCal type mexican. It is really great food all around.

Looking for Last Minute Date Spot in W Village

I am looking to try something new in the West Village for a date tonight. Here are my usual spots: Moustache, Tanti Bacci Cafe, A.O.C., Westville, The Former Sazarac House, Mary's Fish Camp, Diablo Royale, Chow.

Anyone have a cute neighborhood spot with good atmosphere that I could get into last minute on a Friday night?

Chumley's wall collapse...

As of Friday morning the commotion has slowed down on Bedford. The firetrucks are all gone, looks to only be engineers and suits wearing the hardhats now. I last heard the chimney collapsed but the building should be saved. Keep your fingers crossed.

Anything good in Stamford, CT?

I am from NYC and have been transported to Stamford, CT for the work week. I miss TRUE food. Is there anywhere around that has amazing food. Atmosphere does not matter at all. Need good food. Divey places are the best, as long as the food is great. Any suggestions?
