Chick-Fil-A March Mania - Free Food

I've given up on Chick-Fil-A because of their bad service where I live. For instance, the person waiting on me who is busy talking to another worker while standing there with my food in her had getting cold. Also, they more times than not say nothing when I thank them after receiving my order. Zaxby's gets my money now.

Yemeni Italian Restaurant

The Travel Channel visited this place with Samantha Brown. I have tried to do a search on it and can not find much. Is it new? What is on the menu and is the food good? What is the address and how do you get to by subway? Thanks for any information.

North Carolina Food, Drink, Product - Local

Cheerwine syrup is the syrup that they add to the carbonated water to make cheerwine. Until recently, you could not buy it . I had a uncle that worked there and could bring some of it home. You can now buy it at the cheerwine plant near Rowan Cabarrus Community College. It is so good cold over vanilla ice cream.

As much of a strawberry lover as i am, i would use the strawberries for salad or something else and use Cherrwine syrup over the ice cream. Have you ever had it? Also, there is a winery in Lexington that is close by. I have never been there or tried it.

As far as Cheerwine goes, Food Lion use to carry Cheerwine ice cream and Innes St. Drugs on South Main St. sells Cheerwine Fudge. Apple Baking Co. in Salisbury sells cake slices and other desserts. Lance crakers are from Charlotte. Smithfield ham is from NC. Nesse sauages is from NC somewhere I think. Of course, NC BBQ from Lexington area.

Hi, it's good to see another person from Salisbury on this board. Sorry you didn't get to the festival. From what i read in the paper, there was a wedding that was already booked on Sat. Hopefully if they do it next year, the people running it will be more organized.

Hospital Food Around The Charlotte Area

First of all, yes I am serious about this. Has anybody had a good meal in a cafeteria in a hospital in the Charlotte area? My local paper, the Salisbury Post, had a article recently reporting the the cafeteria at Rowan Regional Hospital had gotten new chefs (including two Johnson and Wells interns) and better food to the cafeteria. It is now called Cafe Rowan and the menu is simular to that of Mercy Soiuth in Charlotte.

Salisbury NC - birthday dinner

There is a new steakhouse that just opened in the Salisbury Mall. I have not eaten there, so I can't say if it is good. The Jasmine, inside the Holiday Inn, has a very good Sunday buffett. Casa Grande is the best mexican place in Salisbury and I have seen a lot of birthday celebrations there.

Restaurants (not BBQ) in Salisbury, NC

I am from Salisbury, and I do not know anything about the 2 places you mentioned. There is two casual places in the shopping center on Faith Rd. where the movie theater is. A cuban place called Mambo Grill that has tasty food and a thai place that, according to the paper, is runned by I believe a person who was a chef in a 3 star restaurant in Thailand. There is also a place called Stellia that has had good reviews that is more upscale on North Main St in Salisbury.

In Salisbury, there is a good Mexican place called Casa Grande near I-85. Going south on I-85, take the Jake Alexander Blvd exit and turn right. Then go a short distance and turn left at the first stop light. It is on the right next to the Hampton Inn.

I might get stoned for this but, there is a new K & W Cafeteria that opened on Mallard Creek Rd. off of I-85. I say this because new restaurants ususally serve some of there best food when they first open.
