Kosher catering hall/shul for Bar Mitzvah in Brooklyn

I need to find a glatt kosher place to have my son's bar mitzvah in November 2010. About 120-140 people. We had a place but the caterer is no longer in business. i do not want one of the Orthodox halls in Williamsburg, and am curious about pricing for a place like Shaare Zion with Ram Caterers or even places in the City like Lincoln Square. Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks

Brooklyn Side of Brooklyn Bridge

Inexpensive for Brooklyn Heights, yes..Brooklyn, not at all. Oneof the biggest problems I find with people who live in the Heights is that they are pigeon-holed. They rarely venture out into the real part of the the outer boroughs. Go to Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst, and this food is nothing special. We here in the Heights really do not have good neighborhood family restaurants, and that is a big problem. Just my opinion

blackout cake still around??

Nothing beats the Ebinger's original Blackout cake. Their chocolate cake with the lighter frosting and almonds around the edge was also fantastic. There was an Ebinger's bakery across form my public school (P.S.139) in Brooklyn that I used to go to and get that Blackout cake every Friday. YUM!!!!

Noodle Pudding is to me the most over-rated restaurant in Brooklyn Heights. Pasta and nothing special, except the high prices. Plus, with what they charge, I think they can afford to use their air conditioner instead of opening their windows on a hot night. I don't need the fumes of Henry Street while I eat. Superfine is good, and I have to agree about Tutt Cafe, declicious nad reasonablypriced food. Grimaldi's is not as good as it used to be, but what is? Go to Clark's for it's breakfast. The WAter St. Restaruant in Dumbo isn't bad. I think Bubby's is closed, but I never liked it. If it isn't it should be.
And Henry's End is excellent, and very well priced for what they give you.

Memorial Day in Hollywood

We are staying at the Westin Diplomat for that weekend. We will have our 11 and 14 yr olds with us, so we would like to know about restaurants that are affordable, but don't have those "chicken finger" type meals for kids. any decent chinese, italian and amrican places.what about places on the Broadwalk? Also, does anyone know of a good Sunday brunch? Thanks!!

Kosher Near Downtown Brooklyn Courts?

there is a new Kosher steak house on Clark Street. Not glatt, but has a kashrus in the window, similar to Ben's. Food was good.
