Has Anyone Been to Seasons 52 in KOP By the Mall? I was there a few weeks back, a restaurant I chose to celebrate my birthday as it was an in between place for everyone. It was actually Black Friday. Anyway, I'm surprised no one mentioned that their concept is also calorie driven, meaning, it was clearly pointed out to our table by the waitress that all food items were 475 calories or less. It actually set the tone for me......I was starving to begin with as I ate very light during the day to "save room" for a high calorie birthday meal. I thought once I read that, I would have to order two meals....lol. All the food came out and was good (not great), very well seasoned, small to average size portions, though enough where we were full, not stuffed. I wasn't thrilled with their dessert choices as it was those miniature glass type things they serve at PF Chang's. I think if I knew what I was walking into (calorie restriction) I would have had a better outlook, however I wasn't on a diet and wanted a nice big meal!!!! |

I know, I know...in a crockpot? I'm having a Cinco De Mayo celebration and wanted to serve Mexican Ribs....because of timing, I wanted to do them in a crockpot (first baking in the oven). Does anyone have a recipe that could be adapted and used for this idea? Thanks! |

Black Dog owners from Skippack, now adding Philly location Good for them. I really enjoy this place and the prices are so reasonable! My favorite is their Green Curry Shrimp. http://philly.brownstoner.com/2010/04... ----- |

Tried the new Ooka tonight in Montgomeryville I don't really see many posts about www.restaurant.com though Ooka is now participating. Wait for the 80% off deals and get their certificates for 2-3 bucks. |

Help! Too many ripe avocados! Need recipes fast! I ran into this problem and decided to make guacamole and freeze it. I made it like I normally do and put the guac in a freezer sandwich bag, make sure you squeeze out all air! It's great in a pinch as a quick appetizer to serve. It defrosts pretty fast. |

Dinner idea's to make for a friend in need Great ideas, thanks! |

Dinner idea's to make for a friend in need Thanks, I was on thinking along those lines, too. Plus, it will have to be more on the calorie conscious side as I'm thinking she'll fret about weight gain! I could just bring over the Margarita's...:) I'm sure she would like that. Anyway, I've thought of a Tilapia recipe I have, Chicken Parm and maybe some marinated chicken her husband can throw on the grill (I'm pretty sure he can grill). |

Dinner idea's to make for a friend in need I cook just about anything....right now we've started to enjoy grilling since the weather is breaking a bit. They are not picky eaters, either. I was thinking of at least 1-2 meals a week. |

Dinner idea's to make for a friend in need Thanks, I was thinking of that....and I'll probably do something along those lines, just as long as make sure I don't make too much...every time I make these types of dishes, I swear I can feed an army! We have frozen leftovers for months! |

Dinner idea's to make for a friend in need HungryinBmore!!! No offense but I've never made Liver and Onions and I doubt I ever will! I don't think they will eat it, but you never know! |

Dinner idea's to make for a friend in need OK, so after a long work week, I can only think of Margarita's right now...and of course my friend who is laid up in bed with a broken Femur bone and a torn ACL from a skiing accident last weekend. She will be out of commission for several months and I believe her husband is pretty helpless in the kitchen. So as I sit here sipping away, I thought I better figure out some good dinners to whip up for she and her husband. Any good idea's? I'm a pretty decent cook, but my creative juices just aren't flowing right now....I blame that all on work! Thanks! |

I normally buy it from Giant. Check the one in Montgomeryville, the Hatfield store usually carries it. This past week, I picked up a package at Acme in Lansdale. I would call around! |

So we decided to skip the festivities on New Year's Eve and start our celebration downtown for brunch on New Year's Day. Does anyone have some good ideas as to where to go? I was thinking more along Rittenhouse Square area. I did find this posting on Foobooz, which a a great start: http://foobooz.com/2009/12/new-years-... Does anyone have anything to add to this list? |

What do you make for breakfast on Christmas morning? Every year for as long as I remember, we have Kraft foods "Impossible Cheeseburger Pie" though I sub out the ground beef with hot and mild sausage. It's requested year after year. I'm going to try a new french toast recipe that I'm adapting, which will be an overnight stuffed french toast with Grand Marnier made with Panettone bread. I hope it works out! Of course we have the Bloody Mary's along with Donuts and Hot Chocolate for the kids! |

Small, Low-lit, Cozy, Romantic Restaurant Needed! I hope I don't get flamed for this recommendation, but what about Bistro Romano? I think it's touted as one of the most romantic restaurants in the city. We had a good meal there a couple years back and I keep meaning to return. They have this awesome Caesar salad prepared table side. It wasn't expensive either. |

Today was my birthday dinner night and we decided to steer clear of Philly for the evening due to the World Series, the Eagles game and other venues going on, so we were trying to figure out a nice upscale place to go. We decided to head out for Sushi. Once we figured out Sushi was the meal of choice, I recalled hearing of Kome, at the Saucon Valley Promenade Shops. I logged on to their site to check out the menu and found that Restaurant Week at the Promenade dining establishments started today. I checked out their menu and it looked good, so we decided to head up there. We had a great meal for 30 dollars each. My meal started out with a Saucon Valley roll, which was a spicy tuna roll with Avacado slices on it. My entree was a Wasabi Rib Eye, which was really good, served with some type of sauteed mushrooms and then a sampler desert. Through out the meal we were commenting on how great everything was and that this was even better than Ooka. At the end of the meal, we were talking to the waiter and asked if the owner of Kome had any other establishments. He replied, "Well actually he does and one of the sister restaurants is up 309 in a town called Montgomeryville named Ooka!" How surprised we were to hear this! Did anyone know Ooka and Kome were same owners? Anyway, just an interesting tidbit! |

Number 9 or any other Lambertville Recommendations? Are there any recent visits to Number 9? I was thinking of heading there this weekend, though didn't know if it was as good as I remember. Any other places that I should consider? We're looking for a more American type dinner menu, though all suggestions welcome. ----- |

Ardmore Happy Hour recommendations Hi all! I'm wondering if any of you can steer me to a fun Happy Hour in Ardmore. My friend and I are registered to take a course at Viking Kitchens and want to grab a drink prior to going over there. Is there a place that is close to it? Thanks! |
