The Palm Beach Post gave a great review to a Japanese restaurant in North Palm Beach a few weeks back and my wife threw it out by mistake. Does anyone know the restaurant?

BJ's sells Hebrew National Kosher hot dogs in a package of 10. They are 1/2 lb. dogs and are very good.

Ben's Best Deli in Rego Park, N.Y. carries it. It is $27.00 per pound and they will ship it, but I think that will be very expensive. I will call them on Monday and get the name of the manufacturer. You can then call Ben's Deli in Boca and see if they will start to carry it.

Goood mail order source for pork belly.
Yes, there is a high fat to meat ratio. Unfortunately, when I buy it frozen at a local oriental market it is almost all fat. There is very little lean. When it is served in a restaurant, there is a nice mix of fat and lean.

I live in South Florida and have been buying frozen pork belly at a local oriental market. I am not thrilled with the quality, i.e., to much fat in relation to the meat. Does anyone have a source for good quality heritge pork belly. The sources I have found want to sell 9 or 10 pounds and that is really too much.

Go to Atlantic Avenue in Delray. 32 East is great for new American. Tramonte is very good for Italian. Cut 432 is a high end steak house. You can, also, walk around after dinner.

I have been trying to find these dried chiles in the US for 3 days with no luck. I found a thread that said they are available in Rice World and Big Crazy. Does anyone know if this is true? Can you provide me with contact info? Most of these Chinese markets do not have people that speak English. If one of these stores has someone that speaks English please advise me as to which one.

Pickled chilies?
Thank you for your help. Do you think that Food and Wine made a mistake in call them pickled chilie? Is there something else that are pickled? I guess it is possible that the magazine made a mistake and should have called them presered or salted chilies.

There was a recipe from Fuschia Dunlop's upcoming book on Hunan cuisinein Food and Wine. The recipe calls for pickled chilies. I went to a local oriental market and they had no idea what I was talking about. Can anyone help?

I was told by a coworker that Dean and DeLuca is opening up a large store in Avenutura. I think that would be great, but I do not know if it is really true. Does anyone know for sure?

We are planning a trip to the Amalfi Coast and cannot decide between the Palazzo Sasso, La
Serineuse and The San Pietro. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Also, the off season is much less expensive. How is the weather in May or early October?
Paris restaurant help needed.
My brother and sister in law are going to Europe for the first time at the end of June. Will be in Paris for 3 nights. My brother in law specifically requested a restaurant that makes great duck. A 3 star restaurant is out of the question, as their budget is $300.00. Also, my sister in law is a vegetarian, so the restaurant must serve salds, pasta, etc. Any help would be appreciated. In addition, any bistros or brasseries that serve good food at reasonable prices would be helpful.
Good Non-Chain Italian in Palm Beach County
Although not exactly mom and pop, I would try Tramonte on Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach. Very good New York style Italian food.
Pompano Beach
If you want good food, I would recommend Cafe Maxx in Pompano. No cocktails, but a terriffic wine list, great food and fantastic desserts.

Our 15 year old niece is coming to visit from Northern Ca. She is a vegeterian, not a ve-

New York Prime has a private room and the food is much better then Mortons or Ruth Chris.
If you want to go to Delray, 32 East has a private room upstairs and the food is terrific.
Authentic Hunan or Sechwan in South Florida
Had dinner in Uncle Tai's in Boca last night and was once again disappointed. I can never get them to make the food authentic no matter how many times I try. I have been eating ay Uncle Tai's since they were in New York and have been eating at the Florida restaurant since they opened. Does anyone have an idea for a authentic northern chinese restaurant

Try Tramonte for Italian food. It is very good. Hnads down, 32 East is the best in Delray.
Best Place to Eat in Palm Beach?
Ditto to Chez Jean Pierre. It is, undoubtedly, the best in Palm Beach. The last meal I had at L'Escalier was not very good. If Delray is not too far try 32 East.
