as of a few days ago still no details about level of lead in products, if it's so bad why won't they say how much is in ginger?

"Attorney General Kamala Harris' office says laboratory tests found lead in the products, but didn't note in the lawsuit how much was found. It also didn't respond to a request by the Associated Press seeking that information."

It's the other side of town but not main st.,& not too far. Knights has good food & strong adult beverages! Take Huron to Dexter avoiding Miller Rd. due to construction

another idea , drive out Plymouth Rd. to Canton to NeeHee's Indian vegetarian (lots of CH postings), a 15 min. drive through nice countryside.

we got it from kosher markets when I was a kid, maybe there is a halal version?

the reports don't say how much so hopefully it's a small amount. is it from the soil or maybe screens the ginger is dried on? I have seen some recipes so maybe will try to replicate. Ginger people is from China but TJ's is from Thailand, does that make a difference? I hope more details are released.

Costco in Ann Arbor recently had delicious whole smoked whitefish from Acme (maybe under Blue Hill Label) Brooklyn NY.
Caught in Great Lakes, smoked in NYC , then delivered back, sold & eaten in Michigan!

it was great 3x & not very good 1x but that's always a possibility!
menu consisted of typical kosher meat restaurant fare
(no dairy served at all)
grilled meat ,schnitzel, hummos, chicken soup, fish , kugel, challah etc.

the food is OK but nothing fancy- for students who want kosher food since dorms don't offer it.

How kosher do you need? most restaurants are dairy, not meat, no fancy kosher restaurant has lasted very long here. there is also a Chowhound kosher board you might want to try.

There are some fun places like the kosher Dunkin Donuts -dairy w/ veggie sausage.
