Best Burger

If you're looking around north Jersey, there's a tiny place in Hackensack called White Manna at 358 River Street, right across from McDonald's. When I say tiny, I mean it seats about 15. People from all over the place have been going here for a long time. They serve sliders (think White Castle size only much tastier). Burgers are about $1/piece. They taste great, but I'd stay away from the cheese (at least I thought it tasted funny). The fries are good but nothing spectacular. Hope this helps.

Shumi is definitely my bet for best sushi around Jersey. It beats most if not all the good places in NY I've been to as well (except for Masa, which I'm waiting to win the lotto for).

I'd have to say agree with Ted - Shogun 22 is quite a disappointment. I wouldn't eat there again - the raw fish was of poor quality, and the sushi was haphazardly made. There were flies circling when I was there too.

Sushi near New Brunswick, NJ?

First of all, there are no good sushi places in NB. There's Edo's on Easton Ave., which is ok, especially if you're looking to stick around there afterwards. If you're willing to drive a bit, there's a great sushi place in Somerville called Shumi Restaurant. Very unassuming place on a side road off of Main Street. Nothing fancy but great quality sushi. It closes on the earlier side though. Even serves blowfish if you're feeling adventurous. Ajihei in Princeton has good quality stuff too if you're going to be around there, but it's a smaller, more casual place.
