Dinner East 70s down to Union Square

Hi,

We need a Sat night reccomendation for a great meal, either Italian or French located anywhere on the East side from the 70s down to Union Square. Nothing too loud and priced under $150/couple. My wife is having our 1st child in 4 weeks and we want to get out while we can and have a nice time without breaking the bank.

What do you suggest

"Dentists" Dinner Party of 30

I am sponsoring a dinner for 15 couples (dentist convention) and everyone is staying at the Marriott Marquis on 44th street. Can anyone reccomend a great upscale, yet semi-lively restaurant for a group of professionals this size. $$ are not an issue
