10 best things to eat in Dallas
I am slowly chipping away at some of these lists and I cannot help but be disappointed with the majority so far. Growing up in New Orleans, and spending most of my adulthood living in NYC, I am spoiled! I moved here 2 years ago, and have only had a handful of decent things here. The bagels all stink..... all of them. The pizza is subpar. (Even the Grimaldis here puts some kind of sugar in the red sauce!) The mexican is meh.... chinese, SO Not impressed. I have yet to have awesome sushi here. I had a nice bread pudding souffle at Rise, and a nice ceviche dish and gnocci app at Nana. The Italian food is not impressive at all, and even the burgers are bleah. I also see Nates crawfish listed on some of these lists....OMG it is AWFUL. The whole point of New Orleans crawfish boil is to have it all of the dry seasonings the sachet and boil the crawfish, potatoes, corn, mushrooms and whole garlic, in there for a good long time. Instead they just boil it and dump the seasoning on it, so it gets all over your mouth, your hands, and you choke on it. Gross...... so not right.
I will continue to work through some of these lists and hopefully find a few gems. it is making it easy for me to stick to my training diet for sure.

Cyclone Anaya's - Addison
I go there for happy hour. The drinks are great and reasonable. Decent tequilas and decent decor. I never had a problem with the service, but maybe we were lucky. The food is a little better than mediocre, and it helps that I can stumble home from there on foot...no harm no foul.

Oh Tried Blue Mesa on your recommendation, and I liked it. The flavors of their salsas, the seafood and the tequilas were all pretty good.

I so appreciate all of the information you guys have shared. It is traumatizing enough to move across the country, renovate and live in a "construction zone" AND have a new baby (10 weeks now) so to have some semblance of normalcy, like good restaurants, really helps the situation.

Thanks luniz!!! We ordered it tonight! YUM! Though there idea of extra cheese (at this one) is lacking, and there is a slight bit more of a sweetness to the sauce, it was still a HUGE win!I am also psyched to see that there is a Craft and Nobu here. (is there hope?) lol
I will try Kenny's this weekend.

As for milk, I never said organic, or ultra pasteurized....just something good that doesn't taste like butt...lol

I am DYING without my Special Request Skim Plus Milk.....what is the best skim milk in this area!
Also.....All of the restaurants I have tried so far have been bad. Need suggestions for anything at any time. I moved to Addison from Manhattan. Thanks in advance! Any help is appreciated!
good delivery in tribeca
Kitchenette's kitchen is filthy. Read the health department reports~
Edwards has great delivery, located on W. Broadway, and 2 Rivers on Murray....surprisingly good Mexican dishes~
Romantic CHAMPAGNE BARS? How about FLUTE?
Love Bubble Lounge on W. B'way and Brandy Library in Tribeca. Also Temple Bar on Lafayette is sexy too,
Best Brunch-manhattan
I loved Five Points and had been going for years, but my recent trip was a dissapointment. The usuals, lemon ricotta pancakes 4 cheese mac and cheese and the huevos I was really sad. I went there every Sunday for about a year, and lapsed over a 4 month period. Upon my return, it was noticeable how it changed.
A new find, however, is GOOD on Greewich between Bank and 4th. The brunch punch is awesome, the brunch items are great, and the mac and cheese is a taste to behold. It is quaint and delicious and ther service is great! My only complains is that it is too small....
Best Sake selection in NYC?
I had some wonderful saki at Bond Street. For those who don't want saki alone, the sakitinis are delicious and the bloody martini with cucumber slice is refreshing.
Help! Need a dinner spot in Tribeca (or near the 1) Tonight...
A new spot on Greenwich near Harrison.....Devin Tavern
Atlantic Char yummy and a burger with pork bellies to die for. The pepper Mojito and the Tomato blue Martini are great libations to start with too.
Steak Tartare
ok well i tried all over the city and I have to say that the appetizer portion at Balthazar's is by far the best around. You will not be sorry! The second in line is from Dylan Prime on Laight Street downtown. Enjoy!
Where to go to dinner tonight....anywhere south of 14th
Thanks all for your suggestions. I appreciate it.
I ended up taking him to Devin Tavern, from the nice guys that brought us Dylan Prime.I got the Arctic char and man was it yummy!!! The spece is amazing, and it didn't play out like a new restaurant having to work out the kinks. I suggest you give it a try for a nice casual good meal.
Where to go to dinner tonight....anywhere south of 14th
