Looking for houndworthy places on Outer Banks
Our plan is to take the ferry from Cedar Island to Ocracoke and then head north on Hatteras after taking the ferry from Ocracoke to Hatteras.
Looking for houndworthy places on Outer Banks
We'll be spending two days on OBX in early May and are looking for a good lunch place on Okracoke (Cafe Atlantic, Back Porch and Pelican are current candidates) before heading over to Hatteras and headng north. We'd love to find non-touristy places for a couple of breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Since we prefer fish and seafood, we're considering The Fish House in Buxton and Lone Cedar in Manteo. What say ye 'Hounds?
Which Yank Sing is better
Thanks for all the great info and advice; I'll take her to Rincon.
Which Yank Sing is better
I'm taking my mother out for dim sum in a couple of weeks. She loved the
original Yank Sing. Between the two, is one better than the other?
S.F. restaurants where I can take L.A. mother
I'd like to get info on a couple of places for $40- $70 per person, and
a couple for less, about $25- $35.
S.F. restaurants where I can take L.A. mother
Will be coming in Oct. for four days from Boston to S.F., where I'm meeting
my mother, a S.F. native who lives in L.A. and loves good food. She liked
Chez Panisse years ago, but it's not practical. We'll be staying near Union Square with no car, so I'd like some in-town suggestions for dinners-- new American, French, or Italian, some first-class, some simpler. Nothing
too noisy.
