Yes, you are being quite un-necessarily harsh. Surfas is more than a treasure and they have gone a long way to satisfy the culinary curiosities of us foodies. The demonstration classes (most are free) I have attended have been excellent. The staff is very helpful and whenever I have had a question about anything, someone went out of their way to assist me. I love Cafe Surfas also. Very good quality products.
costco rebranded shuns? -link inside-
Saw these at Costco today. They decreased the price from $599 to $300. Even though the logo is Kirkland, does this new price make them worth it. Costco Online price was decreased a couple of weeks ago to $399.97. Anybody have any feedback on these yet?
Question about French Laundry Reservation
We recently went to the French Laundry for an 1115am lunch. Fabulous. I posted about it on my blog site. Lunch menu has different courses than dinner menu. Warning- food is fabulouys- be careful with your wine selections as that can cost more than the food.

K Zo Sushi in Culver
We went there last night and were very disappointed. The atmosohere was loud and uninviting. It's probably their way of making the dinning adventure like a party, but I found the shouting of ready dishes and loud chants by the sushi chefs to be adolescent and annoying. Our sushi and sashimi choices were good however not up to par with other places we frequent like Sushi Karen. The wait staff tried very hard but it only came off as over-indulgent. My husband orderd a very nice chilled sake which the waitress tended to obsessively feel like she had to fill his glass each time she passed the table.
Rose Water & Orange Flower Water - How do you like to use them?
I have used rose water instead of plain water to flavor royal icing used in decorating sugar cookies.
