Chicken curry and rice in a goatherd's hut trekking in India. Lost, cold, miserable, hungry, the goatherd sacrificed a fresh chicken, cooked it on a warm fire, and served it up with piping hot rice. Yummy!

There are so many. All over the world. And so much depends on mood. Somewhere on the list are La Solita Zuppa, Karim's, that little shack in Sittwe that serves catfish, the cafe uno pizza my daughter loves, dim sum in that lan choi restaurant whose name I can never remember, and, the egg paratha "dhaba" in kazikund on the road to srinagar!
