Flamingo's Seafood in Mount Prospect

Just called their old number. Got a recording that states they are re-opening on Nov 12 as 'El Veneno Restaurant' (or something close to that).

As to the OP's mention of 'Nayarit', it may be a reference to the Mexican state with that name. So they may be advertising their seafood is prepared in the style of Nayarit.

What's open past 10PM on a Sunday night that's good?

Quartino is a nice Italian small-plates & pizza spot that serves till midnight on Sunday.

You can create your own salumi plate from their selection of cured meats, cheeses and vegetables. Then maybe add a small plate or two (the veal meatballs, pork filled ravioli, roasted baby octopus & broccoli rabe are some I've liked). Nice wine selection available by the quarter carafe (quartino). Probably twenty pizzas to choose from, though I haven't tried those.

Toronto veggie and meaty need help for weekend in Dallas...b-day dinner, breakfast, etc. near the Fairmount

I suggest reading Scott's series on Upscale Vegetarian offerings around town over on his www.dallasfood.org site. His reviews are very thorough and you'll also see pictures of many of the dishes he tried. I thought York Street looked particularly good and, as Scott notes, it's one of the most respected restaurants around Dallas. None of the restaurants reviewed are primarily vegetarian. So both you and your boyfriend should be able to enjoy a very good to great meal. Both York Street and Abacus, which also sounds good, are approx 3 mile cab rides from your hotel.

Just saw some posts over on LTH Forum the other day. Not too positive.
