Lucques-Like...
Looking for a Lucques-like place in W. Hollywood where I have a chance for a last minute table for 2 tonight at 7:00.
Thanks.
Help me pick my Sunday Indian dinner...
...to go.
On the Westside, it's between Mayura (love the Kerala Fish Curry) and Agra (love the Lamb Vindaloo, as spicy as they can make it).
I know, very different options but I can't make up my mind.
Chime in.

Pre-Mori Sushi Cocktails???
Looks like mostly dive bars (Arsenal, San Fran Saloon) nearby. Looking for something a bit nicer.
Anyone have a suggestion?
Fried Oysters, anybody?
The fried oysters at Gulfstream (in Century City) are BY FAR the best I've had in Los Angeles!!!

LUNCH In Culver City
So I just read that the new place going into the old hardware store on Main St. is going to be a place called LUNCH. I peeked in the window a week or so ago and it looks like the bar is in place and they are getting close. It seems like a lunch only place would be limiting themselves but maybe the name isn't indicative of what they will be.
Anyone have the scoop?
Cocktails near Orris?
Looking for somewhere to have a few cocktails before dinner at Orris.
Anyone have suggestions?
Wedding Anniversary Lunch in Venice, SM or MdR
I think I know and have been to all the usual suspects but wonder if I'm forgetting anyplace.
(If SM, not too far east.)
Thanks.
Casa Linda on Abott Kinney in Venice
Anyone know what this place is going to be all about. It's on the corner of AK and California, across from Abbotts Habit. It used to be a fast food-ish type Mexican place called Tortilla Fresh (or something like that).
They've been working on it for a few months.
I searched but couldn't find anything on the board about this.
Favorite hangover foods (or restaurants)?
I heard about that but didn't make it over there. How was it? Looks to be a NYC (my hometown) version of Kogi.
And how is Bigfoot West?
Piccolo or Ado
Dad visiting from the East Coast.
Would be good if there were some fish dishes.
I have reservations at both.
Please help me decide.
Salt at Ritz in Amelia Island?
Wow, not a single reply to this? LA, CA Chowhounder heading to Amelia Island and thinking about doing this with my wife.
How was it?
Bravo's Pizza in Venice ripped me off
Wrong. The OP is correct and I agree, food is mediocre and overpriced.
Downtown LA
Looking for suggestions for a cool/fun place to go before and/or after an event at the Nokia Theater this Saturday. Good bar, good food, fun atmosphere...you get it. I'm not really familiar with the downtown scene but my instinct was to go to Ciudad (which I've been to before and is pretty much what I'm looking for). I know there have been a bunch of openings downtown...anyone?
Good Eats Near Hollywood & Gower
Looking for a recommendation for this evening pre event @ The Vanguard.
72 Market
Didn't 72 Market->Globe (in Venice) revert back to 72 Market and re-open a few months ago? I drove by and while it wasn't open at the time (weekday afternoon) I peeked through the window and it certainly looked like it was open for business. I can't find mention of it anywhere.
