Dufour Puff Pastry in San Diego I've searched and searched! Does anyone know if I can find frozen Dufour puff pastry in a grocery store in the San Diego area? I live in Carlsbad, so North County is preferable, but short of driving to LA or having it FedExed overnight, I don't know what to do. I haven't found it in Whole Foods or Jimbo's, and any frozen puff pastry or phyllo dough they sell has been a serious letdown in terms of taste and texture. I suppose I could make my own, but it would be nice to be able to just buy the frozen puff pastry... |

Pacific Coast Grill in Solana Beach - kid friendly? Thanks so much! |

Pacific Coast Grill in Solana Beach - kid friendly? We're supposed to have dinner with an older friend of the family who wants to meet our 3-year-old son. I'd rather not go to a chain restaurant, if possible, but will if there are no alternatives. I was thinking about the Pacific Coast Grill, but I've never been. Does anyone know if it's kid-friendly? It doesn't have to have a kids' menu and crayons, but I'd like someplace that has high chairs and won't be disgusted that we brought our well-behaved toddler along. |

gourmet grocer in north county san diego? I will go pretty much anywhere. It wouldn't be my everyday grocery store, just when I need the gourmet stuff. |

gourmet grocer in north county san diego? I have also heard that Henry's is going to be sold off - to Smart & Final(???). I was just at Whole Foods in La Jolla and they have a card up on their comment board saying that they have signed locations to open in downtown Encinitas and Del Mar in the next two years. |

gourmet grocer in north county san diego? Hello, I am new to the area from the East Coast and am enjoying trying out the local restaurants. However, I like to cook a lot at home and was wondering if there are any gourmet grocery stores in the area that are similar to Balducci's or Zabar's back East. I know that there are Jimbo's in North County and there is a Whole Foods in La Jolla, but I'm looking for others. Thanks! |

lunch in Old Town Alexandria with a toddler? Thank you! Will check it out... |

lunch in Old Town Alexandria with a toddler? I'm meeting a friend I haven't seen in a while for a weekday lunch in Old Town and will be bringing my two-year-old along. Looking for a place that's not necessarily all about kids, but will not frown when I walk in the door with him and will have a high chair into which I can strap him. Cuisine is not as important, as long as the food is decent. Not too loud, as we will likely want to catch up. Is there such a place? I thought about the Pita House, but it's so small, I'm not sure they have high chairs... |

want great food and wine, big group (party of 8) - where to go in DC area? We are a group of four couples yearning for a night away from our children (all 2 and under) and I'm trying to find a good restaurant in DC that will accommodate such a big group. Our geographical range is pretty vast, as we hail from Chevy Chase to DC to NoVA (not Alexandria). We do this about 3-4 times a year and our recent dinners have been to Cafe Atlantico (good) and Cashion's Eat Place (so-so). We currently are thinking about Grapeseed in Bethesda or Willow in Arlington. Talullah is also in the running. Any opinions? Other suggestions? |
