Yep just curious to what it is....hard to tell from the street if it's a coffee house, pub or what?
Thanks.
Does anyone know of a bakery or gourmet foodie shop that delivers in Oxnord(for tomorrow)
I know, last minute thing....my mom's bday is tomorrow and she's in Oxnard for a class reunion, am having no luck finding someone who can get a small cake/or somesort of chocolate plate to the hotel. Have tried Bread Basket and I think Taste? Any suggestions would be great.

Smaller funkier recommendations enroute to Camden from Boston?
Heading up to Camden,my old stomping grounds...we will leave Boston on a Sunday and will come back the following Thursday, not much time. My kids are all about eating oysters from shacks, so any great shacks with million dollar views would be appreciated. I don't know so much about Portland, I'm thinking smaller and funkier, any suggestions enroute? Thank you oc for coming to my rescue!
One day in Boston
Unrelated question, but do you have an opinion on the fastest way to get up to mid coast Maine from Boston? Just to complicate matters any favorite pit stops en route?
One day in Boston
Thanks....C. Hamster, I am traveling with ravenous teenage boys and haute is wasted on the young. If it was my husband and I I would take you up on some more refined cuisine. Opinionated chef, thank you for taking in account our ethnic communities, I really do want to eat some regional Boston food. One more question, pizza. Just got back from Italy,on the burn out from Roman pizza, any good neighborhood joints with grease dripping down your chin....thanks for the help!!
One day in Philly
We will be there on Tuesday...you guys are awesome, the Reading Terminal sounds like where we'll be, starting with the pancakes bluehensfan recommended. I'm disapointed about the Amish vendors. Could swear I saw DiNics on on of the foodie shows and still remember the episode because it looked so good. If anything else comes to mind let me know. Thanks!!
One day in Boston
L.A family who love to eat, looking for some CH guidance some with down to earth, hole in the wall rib sticking kind of food. We will be in staying in back bay, but are always up for an adventure.
One day in Philly
Need eating help....L.A family who eats everything, seeks rib sticking delicous food. I don't to start a CH brawl, but what's the word on cheesesteak. Yep, I've been to Pat's but I was slightly buzzed and twenty years younger, so I'm not sure how accurate my opinion is. As memory serves (sort of blurry) it was awfully good.
We will doing the tourist stuff for the kids and be in that old town area any help is appreciated.
Dine S.F... what are the C.H picks?
Coming up at the end of the month and considering One Market out of the list. Where would you all be eating? Such a deal!
Hound help, walking/cab distance of downtown Seattle!
A slight ammendment to the previous post...didn't realize this was connected to Portland.
Hound help, walking/cab distance of downtown
Dearest Hounds,
Looking for regional cooking in walking distance of Fairmont. We can taxi down to Belltown if need be. Used to live in your charming hamlet....now visting friends. Anything exciting going on? Looking for three square meals...
Many thanks,
Gordita
Any Kid-Friendly Restaurant around Chino Hills, CA?
Centro Basque is great fun for lunch. It's prix fix and you sit at communal tables. We take our kids there all the time. They usually have a salad, soup a main course, blue cheese served along side bread and wine, sodas for the kids. It's slim pickings if your looking for something other than corporate food....which there is alot of. BJs pizza, Lucilles, I think that off shoot of Panda, stuff like that.
Silly place for 40th Bday Pasadena for work related party
Other than Bahookas...are there Karoke places or somewhere fun with food in Pasadena?
I'm stumped. If need be we can travel east...but have too many people coming from too many directions to go to far south.
Late-night dining near South Pasadena/Pasadena area
I like York, but a bar thing for a prego girl may not be her cup of tea. There used to be that great little french/asian place right on Mission...also a french place right by the gold line is good/casual. Anybody know the name? That would be my overall pick, plus you can walk to Busters for icecream afterwards.
Eating in North Beach
my son think foie gras is chicken...years of therapy ahead. BTW Il Pollaio sounds great. Thanks everybody.
Eating in North Beach
Thanks Wolfe, you helped me with some Sausalito eating last Sept.
Eating in North Beach
Any ideas for interesting places/reasonable places for dinner? Will have kids but they eat anything.
Gus's BBQ in Pasadena
Native says avoid. Go up to Zekes if need you a place in the area. Big Mama's hush puppies make me weep, otherwise, very N.Carolina style sauce. Is swinging door in N. Hollywood really gone? That was the best.
Any good nosh close to Four Seasons Westlake?
Taking my valentine out for a night, refuse to pay hotel food prices. Anything close by....any good deli's/takeout? Thanks hounds!
Is Raku (downtown location) open Sunday afternoons?
Just planning my next meal...can't seem to get through to them on the tele. Thanks Hounds!
Christmas Party 20 guests Orange County
What your thoughts on Stonehill Tavern? Actually,I tried March Moderne and awaiting a reply, they are VERY busy with parties in December. I might be pushing my budget with "The Studio..." Thanks you two for the suggestions!!!
Christmas Party 20 guests Orange County
It will be evening so a view is not necessary. We really are looking for something elegant, special up to $200 per head . I think our thought about not doing a hotel is keeping with the theme of intimate. In regards to catering, no. We have to be in OC to accomodate his S.D people and it's 1/2 way.
Any great French places you can think of? I think I'd rather avoid parade traffic...Thanks kc girl.
Christmas Party 20 guests Orange County
Looking for intimate place for company party with fantastic food. Already thought of Ritz, Montage but would rather veer from "hotel" food to have special place with great ambience. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Moving to Hollywood Sunday - Where will I shop?
I'll triple the Fresh and Easy plug. Great values, great products... they are going to blow TJ's out of the water. I think they already are!
Looking for a late Sushi lunch today, who's open?
Most everybody downtown is closed for Saturday lunch??? Any suggestions?
Father's Birthday Dinner Help!
, Bistro la Gare in So Pas., Shiro (Asian French) So.Pas, Cafe Beaujolais in E.R, great Italian place in Pasadena west of Delacey Green St. (and I'm forgetting the name), small very intimate. Madelienes will get you out of Old town and the parking is managable. Elegant space, good food and extremely suitable for special occasion. We have been there for several events for larger parties and they did very well.
Basque in Vernon
Centro Basque. My husband had to spend every Sunday there during his formitive years. The food is what it is, if you know what I mean. Simple cooking, tongue is great. Jai Alai in the back, lots of berets and lots of drinking. Haze of smoke hanging over "no smoking sign". Chalet Basque in La Puente is another interesting one. Avoid frog legs. Thanks for clarifying La Villa, we've been curious...
