In Mexico most people will sip tequila in something like brandy snifter, the ones you show in your photo are made of blown glass and hard to get here in USA but if you go to any bar supply store you will find the normal brandy snifters which are very similar but will be machine made. The typical place you will find these in Mexico is in Tonala or Tlaquepaque, which are cities by Guadalajara. Caballitos are something else which is used for tequila but in less expensive places or places use them for shots. The ideal glass to drink tequila is the official tequila glass made by Riedel, this you will also find in USA with stores that have Riedel. This glass will give you better characteristics in the tequilas you drink… highly recommended. |

Best value in a "special occasion" cognac A.E. Dor great cognac! |
My favorites are Let me know what you think if you try any of these... |
Corralejo is a good basic tequila my favorite of their line is the Reposado Triple distilled which comes in a round bottle. I am glad they changed back to 100% agave, they were a mixto for a few years… Is your bottle 100% agave? |
PAMA...what's your favorite way to drink it? I like pama with tequila, a few drops of lime on ice… |
Depends on your mood, I had a martini with Hendrick's gin the other day with a cucumber, it was wonderful… although I tend to drink more Tanqueray. |
If you can find Mezcal Del Maguey I highly recommend it. Regarding Sauza Hornitos, when I was in Mexico they called it the bug killer… I would go for the Tesoro Recommendation for $10 more… |

The 49% is a sugar-water made most of the time with sugar, all though some companies will use fructose and before the non process sugar was used, although now it is not usual because it is much more expensive… Always look fro 100% agave azul on the label… I like Don Julio very much, 100% blue agave, the good stuff… other 100% blue agave tequilas to try are Chinaco, Casa Noble, Tesoro and Centinela. |

How do you take your bloody mary? I like mine with Tequila instead of vodka so I guess you would call it a Bloody Maria… then I like to use tomato juice, fresh lemon juice, maggi sauce, tabasco, pepper a celery stick and a lime wedge for the rim. |

Best Tequilla Not Available Outside Mexico Casa Noble is the best tequila overall but you can get it out of Mexico, another favorite of mine which I have only seen on my trips to Guadalajara is Centinela 3 anos... |

Casa Noble Reposado and freshly made sangrita mmmm! Here is one I like that a friend from Guadalajara gave to me: 8 oz. jugo de tomate |

Stocking a Bar - What should I have on hand? Tequila - You definitely need to take out that Cuervo of your shelf that is the worst and get some good tequila such as Casa Noble, Tesoro or even Don Julio. Vodka – Get something more updated to have another choice of vodka, maybe a kettle One or Hanger One, both are good and not overpriced like Gray Goose Rum – One of the best is Zacapa Centenario but if you don’t want to spend so much go for Zaya, same distillery just less aging. You need a good single malt in there, something like the ones posted in here called “Best Single Malts”, there are some great suggestions. Cognac – You never know when you are going to get a fancy guest you need to treat nice, you can go for the commercial cognac such as Hennessy but one of my favorites is A.E Dor, don’t think of the reserves just get the D selection, it is wonderful! You have Gin, which is good for your traditional martinis, you have Rye not common now days but good option. Liqueurs – You only have Amaretto, I hope it is Disaronno, and Kahlua, you need to get more... Grand Marnier for margaritas, Baileys for people with sweet tooth, Licor 43 great after dinner. This would be some of the basics... then you can get into more exotic and fun things like Rhum agricole, Grappa, etc. |

Best Mezcal I have tasted is Del Maguey and their Pechuga is my favorite! |
Interesting choices in your list, the one that really stands out like a sore thumb is the Cuervo Gold, which is a mixto (not true 100% blue agave) My list of top 5 in this moment is: Casa Noble Crystal (Nothing better) |
I friend gave me a bottle of Templeton Rye the other day, anyone tried it? have not opend it yet... |
This is such a hard question since there are so many and I like my scotch according to time of day, weather, mood... but it I had to choose one right now it would be Laphroig Quarter Cask. Enjoy! |

We had our Christmas party yesterday, which meant a long night of eating and drinking, I finished off the celebration with some Fernet, which by the way was wonderful and I am not referring to the taste, it just makes you feel better even the day after. |

AZ High Spirits Vodka - Availability I am sure if you go to their website they can tell you http://www.arizonahighspirits.com/mai... |

Well, as a lower cost cognac I like Remy VSOP, but one of my favorites and definitely not cheap A.E. Dor Reserves... if you have not tried any of the A.E. Dor you may want to try the A.E. Dor D (Cognac Selection) and then if you agree with me that it is a great cognac go to the reserves. |
A bit sweet for me but always enjoy a limoncello when visiting Italy. |
