Where to buy mini-cannolis or bulk mini-cannoli shells? (mid peninsula preferred)

I am trying to locate a retail location that sells mini-cannoli shells that would allow me to fill them by hand. Alternatively, I would be willing to buy pre-filled if they're of decent quality. I am looking for about 30-40.

Nice weekday birthday lunch in/near Bucktown

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and will be visiting in September for my brother's 50th birthday. I am staying at a B&B in Bucktown and would love to take him out for a nice weekday lunch nearby. He is a chef so good food is paramount. He's not much for dressing up so a place that accepts casual dress (khakis and button down shirt) is preferred. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I just received my small business license and I am starting a catering business that specializes in small, intimate affairs. So where do I go to get good meat and seafood at wholesale prices? I will not be buying in huge quantities so it's best I find a place that doesn't mind dealing in small quantities at times. I live in Redwood City so the peninsula is preferred but I'm willing to drive to the city.

Please help -- need tasty appetizer to bring to holiday party

I'm a decent cook but drawing a blank on what to bring to my holiday book club party. I need to bring an appetizer that does not require any cooking and minimal assembly upon arriving. Ideally it's pre-plated before we leave for the event. I live in Northern California and have Trader Joe's and Whole Foods at my disposal. The appetizer can be of any ethnicity -- just looking for something that isn't too difficult and will impress.

Beef tenderloin from Costco?

I am cooking beef tenderloin for my family Christmas dinner and I have found the price for tenderloin at my local butcher nearly twice the price at Costco. Is this a case of "you get what you pay for"? I know I will have some waste and have to do some trimming to get similar sized filets if I buy from Costco, but what about the quality? Does anyone have any feedback on the whole beef tenderloins purchased from Costco?

I'm a Personal Chef and have been hired to cater a small dinner with a 50's supper club theme. Anyone have any insight as to what a 50's supper club menu offered? I'm thinking of serving some items from that era with a modern flair. I need to make a couple of passable apps, soup, salad, entre with sides and a dessert. Kid-Friendly near Redwood City (Emerald Hills)

Here's a heads-up for a "future" more kid friendly restaurant IN Emerald Hills. Sancho's Tacqueira is taking over the liquor store next door and adding a whole bunch of indoor seating. They have the best fish tacos on the peninsula!! No more battling the elements as I scarf down two fish tacos outside. Not sure when the addition will be completed but it appears they still have a bunch of work ahead of them.

Kid-Friendly near Redwood City (Emerald Hills)

I second the vote for Pasta Pomodoro (at the corner of Whipple Ave and El Camino). My 3 year old and 1 year old gobble down the tortellini with meat sauce like they're scooby snacks.

If you want pizza, there is a cute, family pizzeria in downtown San Carlos called San Remo. Their pizza is excellent and their pasta is very good as well (especially the dishes served with meatballs).
