We had fabulous food so thanks for the recommendations. Kids loved Shake Shack and Five Napkin Burgers. My husband and I loved the ten course tasting menu at Brushstroke - amazing food and wonderful sommelier. Brushstroke was my favorite place of the week. Bouley was also great - we had the tasting menu and this was my husband's favorite. We could not get into WD-50 or 11 Madison. Ed's Lobster on Lafayette was great. As was Bookmarks rooftop bar in midtown. Blue water Grill was not good due to poor service. My 13 year old picked out Ca va Todd English and we were pleasantly surprised by how good the meal was. Blue Ribbon Brasserie was disappointing due to a rude waiter. Balthasar was great food and great service. Thanks for the suggestions.
My husband and I are travelling to NYC w/ 3 daughters, ages 14 18 and 19. We will stay in Hell's Kitchen - W.44th.
We are looking for must have lunches and dinners for he and I - both foodies. We are considering BrushStroke, Sushi Yasuda, Jean George, Bouley, Le Bernardin, Wd-50, Perla , Milos ( have dined here previously) and Blue Water Grill ( dined here previously).
Two of our daughters are pretty basic diners and would not enjoy these restaurants so looking for some interesting ethnic or American restaurants within Hell's Kitchen for them.
Also interested in good bakeries coffee shops around w. 44th.
