Cocktails before Lupa
While I love Pegu Club, there are also some great bars in the neighborhood that are mixing old school as well as just a decent cocktail that should not be forgotten
Merc Bar - definitely older space and not as cool, but they still make a great Martini
Crosby Street Hotel - newer space, very trendy but again making great cocktails
Wren on Bowery - good space, not so crowded
Blue Ribbon Downing Street Bar - small space, but good drinks and nice noshing food

Best Burgers in NYC.................
We went to Idle Hands bar in the east village and they are now serving That Burger... It's definitely up there with the great burgers. It's not Minetta Tavern, but it certainly can rival Shake Shack anyday. Enjoy!

I agree with everyone so far Marc Forgione is a fantastic place. Food is good, cocktails are amazing and wine list is great! Can't go wrong and the room is amazing is well.

Late lunch before red eye!
staying at the redbury in hollywood and ate at Cleo when I arrived. Last night I was wow'd at the bazaar! Ridiculous dinner! Now looking for a great under the radar spot with flavorful food possibly fish dishes before I head back to NYC! Anywhere in LA is fine!
Best Cupcakes in NYC?
I'm a big fan of Tribeca Treats. The Cheesecake cupcake is pretty fantastic!

I agree with Scarpetta. This place is truly magnificent. As for your lunch spots, Shake Shack or BLT Burger are a must try! Lucali in Carrol Gardens is also worth the trip.. I think it's better than Lombardi's and Grimaldi's! Have fun!
Pectin?
Anyone know where I can buy Pectin in manhattan to make jelly? I have tried Sur La Table, Gourmet Garage, Dean & Deluca and a couple of smaller grocery stores.

Walked by Harry's Burritos on Thompson and West 3rd last night to see it boarded up... anyone have an idea what they are doing in that space?
After Babbo Sat. nite dinner, where to drink?
While The Dove is fantastic - on a Saturday night it's riddled with NYU kids. I love Pegu Club, but it is a little pricey but very romantic and loungy. One other suggestion is Shade on Sullivan and West 3rd. Very good little wine bar.
