Kind of tight - but Pazzia on Third.

Trying to Revisit Italian Restaurant in North Beach but Forget the Name!
Was there a parking lot next door? If so - then it does sound like Piazza Pellegrini.

or even the Tony's slice house if you want to go even more casual.
Where to Buy a SmallTurkey-East Bay
Did you purchase your fresh Heidi Organic Turkey at Whole Foods?
Beef Kidney anyone?
Yes - Baron's. The owner was very nice - he let me know when his deliveries were and let me know if I wanted the kidneys to just call the day before.
Beef Kidney anyone?
Thanks Melanie per your tip I followed the trail to a lead in Alameda that will be able to order the Kidney for me!
The Big Eat SF: 100 things to try before you die
Funny that Pastores is on this list - I went again (I think this has been my fourth time) at 10:30 on a Saturday morning - closed. When is this restaurant ever open?
El Cerrito: Simbang Gabi - Filipino and Brazilian nine days of Christmas
The round meatloaf like patties were probably embutido. I've had it with ground meat, but it is usually rolled like braziole.
Caterers that specialize in "tea parties"
I used Day Darmet for a Tea Themed party and their food, prep & staff were excellent!
Breakfast in Walnut Creek
I have had a very good breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe. I remember ordering a Joe's Omelet and at the time there was a ban on spinach and it was still very tasty!

SF: North Beach Restaurant - anything worth the price?
My family used to love the calamari fritti - our last visit, about a month ago we got deep fried rubber bands.
Another favorite was the Veal Special - veal medallions topped with cheese & asparagus. Tasty - but not worth the price.
Pinole: Trader Joe's and fresh produce at 99 Cents Only Store
If you are coming from Vallejo it is the Pinole Valley Road Exit - you hang a left onto to Pinole Valley Road. The new TJ will be on your right, if you pass the TJ shopping center, you will come across a small strip mall and that's where the Red Onion is.
El Sobrante: The Bamboo Chopstick - 11 types of bahn mi
I am sorry for the confusion - our order consisted of one order each of the shrimp roll, calamari, shrimp, & wings and the Vermicelli. Two orders of the imperial rolls and three large orders of the Pho.
If the food was outstanding or at least comparable to the other two places we frequent for the same dishes, I wouldn't mind paying the higher price. (For the convenience).
El Sobrante: The Bamboo Chopstick - 11 types of bahn mi
Illness prevented my family of 4 from attending a function tonight, so take out was the result.
Pho is always a good fix for a cold, so we ordered the rare beef. It was just OK. One thing I did not like was the meat was served with the broth. Instead of rare - the meat was over cooked.
We tried pretty much all the fried items on the menu - shrimp, calamari, & wings. The shrimp was more like the Sizzler all you can eat type and the calamari was a frozen steak that had been sliced and deep fried. Wings - 4 large pieces - not bad, but not memorable.
Rolls - the shrimp rolls were fresh. The pork & shrimp Imperial rolls were larger than what your normally get, crispy, but the pork and shrimp filling lacked flavor.
The grilled beef vermicelli was a generous portion, I couldn't really taste any marinade.
Bamboo Chopstick is close to home, but for the taste, I cannot justify the price. All of the items cost $87. For the same items at our usual places (Pho Saigon and Hong Tra (? spelling), the same price would have been $20 - $30 less.
I will give them a second try for the banh mi, but unless, I am really to lazy to head to Richmond or Albany, I don't think I will go back again for Pho or the Vermicelli, etc.
Take Out Dim Sum Oakland
Haha my little is usually so famished after her class, last week the har gow didn't even make it home! I am looking forward to trying everyone's suggestions!
Take Out Dim Sum Oakland
Thanks - I did a search but all I could find was information on Dim Sum restaurants. I will check out Delicious Foods next Sunday - my daughter has a class in the area and I have some time to kill while I wait.
Take Out Dim Sum Oakland
Went to Oakland Chinatown today to buy some har gow. Tried Tao Yin (?) on Franklin. Wasn't how I remembered it - very thick wrappers, very gooey, more wrapper than shrimp. Any suggestions on good Take Out Dim Sum Oakland or San Francisco. We usually go to (I don't know the name of the actual store) but it has "Good Luck Dim Sum" on the Window - it's on Stockton. Thanks!
Day Darmet Catering
Looking for a caterer for a Memorial Service for approximately 150. Anyone have any experience with this caterer or any other recommendations? Thank you Chowhounds!
M&M's by color
The Sweet Factory - wouldn't let me post a link, but there are various stores in Bay Area Malls (San Mateo, Concord, Hayward, Pleasanton). It looks like you can buy them in 1lb. (14.75) or 5lb. (74.75) bags online (sweetfactory.com)
Chilaquiles at Pastores: Go, go, go!
I have called and verified their hours but each time I have gone (during the week) they have been closed.
El Sobrante - Tinas Creekside Café Food 4 Vegetarians & Carnivores
Which waitress was it? There's the tall redhead or the short, older lady with dark hair?
Hercules: Marylou's Homemade Delights … Filipino macaroni salad
Sometimes it has bits of cheese in it as well!
Looking for a great cake in SF proper

Restaurants at the JCC
Any been to the Jewish Community Center lately? Have any new restaurants replaced the spaces occupied by the California Deli and 415?

No votes for Chavinda (Knob Hill Shopping Center)? I love their "Chalupas" (Salad in tortilla bowl with your choice of grilled meat).
