Solo Dining Scottsdale/Phoenix
I will be in Scottsdale (in town for business from Philadelphia) on Monday night and I'm looking for some good solo dining options. I am considering going to Pizzaria Bianco (always wanted to go there), but I'm not sure that is the best option. I am happy to drive anywhere within a reasonable distance. Any input/ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks
Tacoma -- Dining Near the Hotel Murano
I will be staying at the Hotel Murano for two nights next week and I am looking for dinner ideas. I am most interested in more high-end places where I can eat at the bar. Pacific Grill seems to be one good choice, but I would love to hear any other recommendations. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

justwandering -- did you ever get an answer to your question concerning the name of the music in the noodle segment?
Fish and Chips (Mont.Co.)
Try Craft Ale House in Limerick. Pretty much everything on the menu is terrific, but the fish and chips stand out. Plus, the place has one of the best draft selections outside of Philadelphia.
DC/Arlington Dining for One
Thanks for the info. Ray's sounds very appealing. Do you know if they have dining at the bar and if the bar has TVs (I am a Phllies fan and Game 2 of their series is 6:00 the night I will be eating out)?
DC/Arlington Dining for One
Thanks for your reply. As far as cuisine, I am wide open. I would prefer to avoid chains, even upscale chains. I also would like to avoid standard bar food -- I love bar food, but I like to do something a little different when I'm on the road. I do enjoy eating at the bar, in fact I prefer it when dining alone. I'm getting expenses reimbursed, but I can't go over-the-top (else I risk not getting reimbursed)
DC/Arlington Dining for One
I am attending a conference later this week at the Hyatt Crystal City in Arlington and I am looking for some good solo dining options within a reasonable cab ride from the hotel (either in DC or Arlington). Any suggestions are apprecaited.

Lunch in Malvern/Exton Area
I have recently started a new job in the Malvern/Exton area and I'm looking for places for lunch. I've already discovered some gems (Classic Diner, Margaret Kuo's) and some solid places (McKenzie, Bamboo) but I am always interested in trying new places. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
good charcuterie and BBQ?
For house-made charcuterie you might want to try Osteria. Quite pricey, but very, very good. Pretty much everything else the serve is excellent as well.
Main Line Bar/Lounge
That sounds perfect. I Googled Maia and couldn't find a website -- do you know if they have one?
Thanks!
Main Line Bar/Lounge
I am attending a wedding this weekend along with a large group of friends. The reception is at Overbrook CC (in Bryn Mawr). There is a long gap betweent the wedding and the reception, and we are looking for a place to kill a few hours and have a couple of drinks. The ideal spot would be something along the lines of a hotel lounge. If anyone has suggestions for a place, preferably on the eastern end of the Main Line (near Overbrook CC), it would be greatly appreciated.
Solo Dining in Midtown
I will be in the city next month and am looking for some good solo dining option for dinner. I am staying around 52nd and 7th. I am open to all cuisines and price ranges.
Thanks
Annapolis/Eastern Shore Restaraunts
My wife and I are traveling to Annapolis and the Eastern Shore of Maryland from Philadelphia (St. Michaels area) and we are looking for recommendations for lunch and dinner. Any recommendations are appreciated.

Romantic weekend in Gettysburg
Herr Tavern is excellent and very romantic. When I went to college in Gettysburg, Herr Tavern was a little rough around the edges, but now it really offers fine dining. http://www.herrtavern.com. Also, if you are willing to drive a little way, Antrim 1844 in Tanneytown is spectacular. http://www.antrim1844.com. This place is pricey, but well worth it (and the adjacent hotel is terrific as well).
Any Good Mexican on the Main Line?
I agree on all counts. Also, the Taqueria Veracruzana recomendation above is excellent. Try the tacos al pastor if you go.
Where does one draw The Scrapple Line?
I can confirm the presence of Taylor Pork Roll as far North as Simsbury CT (just outside of Hartford) at a place called Brookside Bagels. The bagels are very good and they make a pork, egg and cheese on a cheddar bagel that is fantastic. One note, the call it "Taylor Ham" instead of pork roll.
Sansom Oyster House and Philly Sports Bar
Nodding Head, which is directly above Sansom Street Oyster House, is a solid spot for a burger and a beer while watching a game. You might have a tough time gettung the Yankee's game on the TV though.
Dress at Osteria
Can anyone give me an idea of the proper dress at Osteria? I'm assuming it's pretty casual, but I just wanted to make sure. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.
Need Good Authentic Chinese and Italian Near Convention Center - Philly
I second Lee How Fook--it's terrific. You might also want to consider Vietnam, which is literally next door to Lee How Fook. I have never had anything but spectacular meals there.
Mission Grill
Has anyone been to the new Mission Grill at 19th and Arch? I work nearby, so I am curious to hear what people think of it.
Ristorante Panorama
I am thinking of taking my wife to Ristorante Panorama for her birthday this weekend, and I am wondering if this is a good idea. My original thought was a BYO, like Chloe or Audrey Claire, but considering that it's a Saturday and is her birthday, I wanted to avoid places that don't take reservations. Any input is welcome.
Solo Dining in Pasadena
I am staying in Pasedena tonight (at the Westin--Los Robales, near Colorado) and I'm looking for a good option for dining alone (other then hotel restaurants). Any recomendations would be welcome.
Solo Dining Downtown
I am staying in the city tonight, and I am looking for a good option for dining alone. I will be staying way downtown, about a block from the NYSE. Any recommendations would be welcome.
kid friendly near logan circle
You might want to go to Pietro's. It's about a 5-10 minute walk from the Museum, but it would probably be a great choice.

10 best restaurants in Montgomery County
I second all of the recomendations you have received, but you need to add Majolica in Phoenixville to your list. It's a tiny, chef-owned BYO that has food on par with any of the top Center City restaurants (as well as places like Savona). The menu is small, and changes with the seasons, but the food is unreal. I couldn't recomend it more highly.
Fogo de Chao
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has been to the new Fogo de Chao. I have plans to go there Thursday night and I would love to get a little insight.
Anniversary dinner in the suburbs?
I second Majolica--it truly is excellent. It is equal to almost any restaurant in Center City. Also, it is pretty far from where you are, but Birchrunville Store Cafe is terrific, and a great special occassion spot. If you like Dillworthtown, you'll love this place.
korean barbecue in Philly?
I couldn't agree more. Miran is excellent, whether you do the BBQ or bibim bap or other traditional dishes. And, the staff is very, very friendly.
