Thanks to everyone for all the great suggestions. Ended up going with a veal shoulder because I'm feeding 4, but looking forward to investigating rabbit when I'm cooking for 2/3. |

I can find rabbit for $10lb but was hoping to find something more sustainable to my bank account... |

vintage discrepancy on label vs cork Just bought, what I thought was, some 2006 JM Boillot Montangny on closeout. When I removed the capsule, the cork says 2007! Anyone seen this before? Guess it must be an '07 wine with an old '06 label rather than an '06 wine with a cork from the future... |

I love Roberta's and would recommend Vinegar Hill House to almost anyone but, if you're not from here and want to make an evening of it, Smith Street is the place to go. Haven't been for a couple years, but preferred Saul over Grocery... ----- The Grocery Roberta's Vinegar Hill House |

2005 1er Cru Chassagne-Montrachet - How long to cellar? The saying goes: "drink 'em young or old, but never in between." Red Burgundies tend to "shut down" over time as the vibrant, youthful fruit fades, a bit, leaving the tannins more at the forefront of the wine. After a decade or so they re-emerge with greater complexity and depth. 2005 was an outstanding vintage, but most of these wines are shut down. A 1er Cru, even from Chassagne will benefit from more time in the bottle. That said, I opened the Drouhin 1er cru Clos des Mouches last weekend and, after some vigorous decanting, it was delicious! If you open it, swirl it around in a decanter or large pitcher and you'll probably have a great wine. If you decide (or decided) to open it, let us know what you thought. |

Thank you all. This is exactly the info I was hoping for! |

I'll be spending a week in Branford at the end of August and wondered if there are places to buy local seafood. Are there farmers markets that have local purveyors? What is available this time of year? |

I'm staying near the Opera/Plaza de Isabell II and am looking for a place to have a glass of Cava and/or Albarino to wash down some good Cabrales, Monte Enebo, Torta del Cesar, etc. Any thoughts? Thanks! |
