I agree!! IMO, this was just a tortilla chip.

Yum! I love that gnocchi! We've purchased it a few times.

I agree on the Danish pancakes!! I was really looking forward to them, but I could not get past that lemon taste. We will not be buying again.

We also really enjoyed the shrimp corn dogs. Something different for appetizer night! Very tasty and would buy again.

I feel the same way about prepared foods Dommy... but I love the curry chicken salad too! It is really good. And they use good chicken in it, so I'm never worried about getting a bite of scary/fatty chicken.

Had a really bad bag of clementines from TJs recently. I'd say 90% of them were mealy and sour. I believe they were from Morocco. I know clementines are fickle little fruits - so I can't be too disappointed.

Yea to the Thai Shrimp Gyoza! They were delicious steamed and paired with TJ's Gyoza sauce. We bought them a few days ago and they're already gone.

Agreed! I really enjoyed the freeze dried grapes - kind of tasted like candy. But I finished the bag in one sitting. You don't get a lot of bang for your buck with these.
Seduced by Costco (Meyer Lemons)
This is absolutely my new favorite cocktail! Sparkling Meyer Lemon Cocktail from Cooking Light magazine. So, so good! I can't wait to make it again...

Martha's Spiced Chocolate Eggnog... Has anyone ever made?
I came across a recipe for Martha's spiced chocolate eggnog. It looks delicous! Has anyone ever attempted it? As someone who has never made homemade eggnog, I would love some feedback. Thanks!

HELP! In search of a website I saw on Chowhound! Buying shares of fruit trees...
Yes! That's it! Thank you very much.
HELP! In search of a website I saw on Chowhound! Buying shares of fruit trees...
A year or so ago, someone posted about a company where you can buy items such as a share of a peach tree, a blueberry bush, and even a beehive for honey. I can't find this website anywhere and I'm looking to get a gift for someone. It's driving me crazy! If anyone can provide some information, I'd appreciate it!

Agreed on the malted milk ball cookies. They are NOT worth the calories. My husband, who normally likes everything, gave them a big thumbs down.
Discontinued at Trader Joe's (started 6/19/2011) [old]
I just purchased the baked onion rings yesterday in CT. Maybe they were out of stock at your store?

Nay to the Chinese Style Pork Buns. The pork filling was so fatty.
NYC to BOS Roadtrip TOP TEN
I love Skippers Dock. Beautiful views. They make a great bloody mary there as well.

Agreed! I never knew these existed until I read about them on this board! Now I'm addicted as well. Ate the entire box in one night.

Interesting Options for Group Dining?
Wow! Thank you so much. I will look into all of these!
Interesting Options for Group Dining?
I am looking for ideas on creative prix fixe group dining. For example, at momfuku ssam bar, you can order the bo ssam prix fixe in advance for a group (basically a 6-course meal, including a whole pork butt). My group has already done this - but I am looking for an interesting alternative where you can order a specialty in advance and are able to share as a group. Ideas?
Do you remember the BEST EASTER CANDY EGGS EVER? [moved from Manhattan board]
Chelsea Market Baskets is selling Knipschildt Chocolate Eggs, which are in an egg carton. Not the same thing.. but a fancier alternative!

Mantao: Pan-fried pork & shrimp dumplings
As I sat at my desk last night eating my roast pork noodles from Mantao, I also found a black hair just about the time I was reading this thread. Awesome.
In search of: Lemon Chess Pie
Does anyone know where I can buy a lemon chess pie in Manhattan?
Thanks.
Tides Seafood
I'm eating at Tides on the LES this weekend. Any suggestions as to what to order?
Suggestions for "Mail-Order" Crab Legs
I am looking for a company that will ship Alaskan King Crab Legs. I am looking to send them as a gift for someone. Has anyone had any great experiences? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Restaurants with Great Holiday Decor!
This is a very random request, but I am looking for a restaurant that has great and outlandish holiday decor. I am doing dinner with 10 girls in December. We wanted to go to Rolf's in Gramercy but they won't take a reservation for 10 people. We are looking for something to get us into the holiday spirit because we'll be exchanging presents. Any suggestions? Location is not important.
Thanks in advance!
