LaRaccos Pizza is great because you can walk in and order great NY style pizza by the slice and also there is Pizza Port, I suggest bringing the kids to Pizza port because they have arcade games for kids and really really good beer for the adults.
Billy's seafood and Tina and Vince on Del Mar for sandwhiches that you can take back to the house or the beach beacause it's on Del Mar street the "main drag"
Chronic tacos is really good and near by the Rainbow sandels outlet store also Pedros is a Taco stand and drive thru that is awesome with kiddos.
Bagel Shack for sweet breakfast bagels and Pipes for huge awesome breakfast burritos on El Camino Real

paprika, salt, garlic, powder, lots of good black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper, dried leaf oregano, dried thyme, liquid smoke and a dash of brown sugar- not too much or it will turn out like a spicy teriyaki

I'm throwing a baby shower and the soon to be momma loves shrimp. What's your best shrimp cocktail recipe? I'll probably cook the shrimp one or two days before. Any suggestions on boiling vs broiling and storing cooked shrimp; will cooked shrimp dry out?

Yes, I do understand this as I have curdled scalloped potatoes during the cooking process before even getting to the freezer. My potatoes lost any sort of texture, the sauce actually held up fine because I reheated them in the oven. Maybe I'll use different potatoes. Do you have any fool proof freezer recipes?

They never seem to get their act together. I saw an "A" rating on their door once for a 'bout a week and was tempted to try this place. Before I could get my foot in the door is was back to a "C" rating. I've lived next to this place for a couple of years and more often than not it's under par with regulations. I'll skip the food poisoning!
costco pizza
FYI ~ I work around the corner from Costco, the Signal Hill location. I was there on my lunch break picking up photos I had ordered and decided to grab a slice of pizza at their very busy fast food counter. I'm happy to report that their pepperoni pizza was very good! $1.99 for a big slice or $10 for a huge 18" pizza.
Which foods taste better organic?
I had the best baking potato I've ever had last night! It was so rich and creamy even with out all the fat. I don't know if it was certified organic but I got if from a farmers market.

cream pie... rich but not heavy?
I'm looking for really good vanilla custard for a banana cream pie. It's my Grandpa’s favorite so I don't want to disappoint him. I would like to make the base, vanilla custard, rich and flavorful but not too thick, any suggestions.

Prosecco to go with the OJ for sure! Make sure your presentations looks good, it adds so much to your meal and will even make the food taste better! Get some cheap but pretty platters and napkins, pick up some flowers from the market, make sure your house smells good (even if your not baking), put on some Norah Jones in your c.d. player and your guest will be wowed. Entertaining can be a lot of work but, you can do a great job even with out a lot of time on your hands; you just need to stay organized. Good luck!

Although I’m not familiar with them, there's lots of Italian restaurants on Westwood blvd just south of Wilshire. Do you have a car or do you want to walk? I’d check out some other postings for the Westwood area if you don't get more responses.

If you're already making dessert and dinner, i wouldn't risk messing up something as great tiramisu gelato unless you're planning on practicing with different recipes. yum...i love me some tiramisu gelato! good luck!
