Breakfast in Richmond, VA
Well it is about 7-10 miles West of downtown but an adventurous brunch is Dim Sum at Full Kee!
Girlfriend is leaving the city dinner....
No worries she is moving back home! It coincides with a 5 year anniversary on October 31st. The real questions is what have we missed that is a must do dinner? Budget=None...Food=Any...Certainly romantic is nice but would prefer that to be without the stuffiness of dressing in our Sunday best and feeling like amatures on a night out. Think Blue Crabs on a picnic table if it is a must eat! Lively nice atmosphere is a plus.
We really have done a good job over 3 years canvassing the city in search of good eats. The obvious ones have been hit for the most part but do not be afraid to suggest it (it may have slipped the mind and what we may have hit may not be ones you suggest).
Looking forward to all suggestions. She currently lives in Brooklyn so we will sub it in to the city. Thanks in advance!
New Cuban Restaurant alert in Richmond!!!
Located in the Stratford Hills shopping center behind Benny's BBQ! I have attached a picture of the space and will say for $4.95 it is worth a trip over (Lucky for me it close to my house). I did a more formal write up at www.dining-car.blogspot.com
Please stop in and let me know what you think!

Virginia Hound headed to Budapest....
Been to Budapest before and fairly familiar with the city. Will be staying in the castle district last week in May first week in June. Anything new or note worthy? I would like to visit Gundel I know I know touristy but is it really one of those not to miss restaurants?
Any other suggestions for Budapest? Also traveling to Eger, Kecskemet, Tokaj regions. Any recomendations food, wine or market related would be great.

Best Sandwich in Richmond?
Have not had a Phils club in years but used to love them! I liked the fact that they put pickles on the club. Hmm...10:15 I now have a hankering for a Phils club!
Thanks
Best Sandwich in Richmond?
Nicks Produce and International Market on Broad. A lot of people think it is just a Greek grocery but in the back there is a really awesome deli/sandwich shop. Highly recommend it!

Staying at a bed and breakfast next two nights (28th and 29th) in Fells Point. Most restaurants recommended (from there website) I just do not feel I can trust. I know Baltimore well and like places like Bicycle/Cork etc... Looking for similar flair tomorrow night or Friday within walking distance of Fells Point. Not against taking a taxi for any new or recent additions to the dining scene. Thanks in advance!

Well I must admit Southside is my vote and the restaurant is Little Saigon in the Robious Shopping center. I looked for a link but could not find one. There Hanoi Chicken Soup is the incredible in my opinion!
Woof and welcome to town!

Am I missing something? RE: Tobacco Co. Rest.
I must agree with the group. I understand maybe walking in and talking about the history of the space but outside of a Scotch I move on somewhere else!

Fresh Market (Richmond)
In the prepared foods if you can get waited on I would also recommend the chicken liver kind of a rough pate' of sorts. My kids even love this on crackers!

Wow! Did not realize that. Do we know what happened and what he is doing now?
San Antonio
Doing a little research for a friend who will be in town for the half marathon November 10th-14th. Looking for local haunts (no chains) mid to upper prices but has that comfy cozy local feel. Any cuisine is acceptable (meaning just cause she is running a marathon she is worried about what she is eating). Musinc like jazz or blues in house is a plus. Looking forward to the replies!

I would highly recommend the above link. The French owner can be a little testy at times but is passionate about his business and food.

Richmond, VA -- Downtown -- Italian Dinner Night b4 Marathon??
Well it is Mama Zu (Oregon Hill) someone will post about service but I have never ever had a problem. If 5 or more it will be family style. They also only take American Express, Cash, or Check. There sister (or brother) restaurant will be Edo Squid in the fan. Same style different atmosphere food equally good. They take Visa and MC (don't ask). Hope this helps!
