Oblong or seeded watermelons?

Yes! Seed spitting was fun! Thanks for all the suggestions, I didn't see any at Russo's , but I was there a couple of weeks ago- and at Costco, I must have completely missed it! I'll report back if I find some seeded ones...

Oblong or seeded watermelons?

I know this is an odd question, but does anyone know where I might be able to find a seeded watermelon, or an oblong one? It seems all I can ever find are the round seedless one these days! Has the oblong variety gone away? No more heirloom watermelons?? Thanks in advance!

Beyond disappointed with New Ginza, Watertown

I had one of the best omakase meals ever at Oga's, so IMO they're a far cry from each other! I can't believe Ruprecht had frozen sashimi! That is just nuts.

Beyond disappointed with New Ginza, Watertown

Hubby and I went expecting some pretty good sushi based on the posts on CH- Though the service was great- the sushi was awful. And the aches in our bellies afterwards confirmed what our eyes told us- not the freshest sushi on the block. So sad. We'll stick to Oishii and Oga's from here on.

Violette_O!!!!! THOSE ARE IT!!!! If I wasn't at work, I probably would have screamed out loud!
Thank you so much!! Do you know where I might be able to find them around here?

ISO Childhood candy - Help! [moved from Boston board]

Sadly, no, it's none of the ones mentioned above. I think the closest in taste is Werther's, but it was chewier, like a Goetze Caramel Cream...

ISO Childhood candy - Help! [moved from Boston board]

I know I'm not imagining them because my sisters remember them, but we have no idea what they were/are called! We bought them way back when CVS still had candy bins (early 80s). They were a milky, slightly caramel candy, small and rectangular, with a cow on the rust colored wrapping. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Does anyone think I have any chance of finding them again? Thanks!!

Private room for 40th bday

Thanks to everyone for all the recs!

Private room for 40th bday

oops- posted too quickly! Details might help!

about 10 people including the 2 kids, in the boston/cambridge area, no budget per person

The only requirement for food is that it be fabulous! We're open to any type of food, if there's a special banquet menu or tasting menu, even better. The only exception is NO Chinese banquet.

Thanks so much!

Private room for 40th bday

We're trying to plan a special dinner for my sister's 40th- family only, which includes a 2 and 4 yr old. Thought the private room might allow them to run around in a nice restaurant and not bother others! Any suggestions? Thanks!
