Maremma had them on the menu when I was there last year.

ISO Zucchini Blossoms in NYC

I've found them at the Union Square Farmers Market, at the cart right near the subway entrance at the corner of 17th and Union Square West....

Please help me pick a brunch place where everyone in my family won't kill each other

Telepan! It's quiet and comfortable with terrific food and attentive service. There are one or two short steps leading up to the restaurant, but once you're there, it's all on one level.

Telepan Lunch Recs?

Went there yesterday for lunch and had a delicious meal -- and everything on the menu is part of the prix fixe restaurant week deal. Would recommend both the Trout and vegetable bread soup for apps, the King Salmon, Burger and Duck Confit for mains, and the Peanut Butter and Chocolate Dessert.

Chocolate Cake left in refrigerator... please tell me if it's still edible/freezable.

I have a partially-eaten chocolate mud cake that's been in my fridge since Wednesday morning (went away for the weekend and completely forgot to wrap it and toss it in the freezer). Now, it's Monday. Can I still wrap the cake and freeze it, or am I already past the point of no return?

Date night mid priced UWS Friday night

Bistro Citron on 81st and Columbus has solid french bistro fare and is a fairly good value. I enjoyed the mussels and hanger steak frites.

Mexico, One Plate at a Time: Recipe Selection and Recipe Links

Dee, Could this recipe be made on an outdoor grill using a cut-up Turkey? I haven't bought the book yet, but I'm looking for a good Mole Turkey recipe for Thanksgiving.

Broiler Question

Thanks so much for your inputs. I'm going to test out a salmon fillet tonight and report back about the results. I'll just avoid putting any type of sugary glaze that could catch on fire... and I'll keep a big pail of water handy!

Broiler Question

Please help! I just moved into a new apartment and I have an ancient gas oven with the broiler drawer underneath. My problem is, the drawer seems TINY and I'm afraid if I put anything in there, it will catch on fire. I really don't want to burn down the building. Are these still safe to use? Are there certain meats I should avoid in the drawer?

I used to use a broiler for fish all the time, and I'm not sure how I will cope without it.

Five Points this past weekend...flat out bad. What happened?

I had a very blah brunch there a few months back. My parents were visiting from out of town and I had raved and raved to them about the 5P bruch. My father and I each ordered the huevos rancheros and the eggs had rock-hard yolks. Yuck!

Halloween dinner with costumes - UES

Thanks so much for the recommendations, Tipsy. Any other ideas for perhaps a bit nicer places, that would still be ok with our attire? Nothing fancy, of course, but I'm aiming for fairly decent food.

Halloween dinner with costumes - UES

Hi All,

My boyfriend and I are getting together with another couple for dinner before a halloween party that we will all be attending on the Upper East Side. I'm not at all familiar with the neighborhood, but we're looking for a place that's not too frat-partyish (in our late 20's), but somewhere that showing up in very low-key costumes wouldn't be frowned upon.

All suggestions welcome and we have no culinary restrictions.
