What's the best diner in Brooklyn?

Hmmm...I find Pegasus a little expensive and ok atmosphere. I prefer Off Shore btw 79th & 78th on 3rd. Extensive selections, competitive pricing, good food & great atmosphere. Lula, the owner is a sweetheart.

The Donut Stop on 3rd btw 94th & 95th - fast, no frills, good cheap breakfasts. John the owner & son Alex take a little while to warm up - good folks.

Both in Bay Ridge.

Brooklyn Pizza along Belt Parkway

Went to Tatiana's about 18 months ago and had a great meal and wonderful entertainment - it is a place to experience.

Looking for great diner

The Diner on 3rd Ave in Bay Ridge is Off Shore, between 78th & 79th Streets. It actually went through a renovation a few weeks ago, but the food/menu is the same - wonderful. It is THE diner in Bay Ridge. Same owner for nearly 2 decades - Greek Family. Once you go there you are part of the family.

Brooklyn's Chinatown help please!

WT is awesome, was there last weekend - snails are dynamite.

The train is the N.

Questions about Hard Cider

Great discussion. I have beer brewing experience, cider looks straight forward. Looking to get a batch working. Any suggestions in getting close tastes to Magners and then the one listed here - Dupont?

Anyone Ever Been to the Rahway NJ Greek Festival?

When I lived in Union County a few years ago I went annually, it is a great collection of food. For the Greek food lovers and newbies.

Best lesser-known beer bars in NYC

The pool table is never level and it changes because they move it all the time (due to it is the band area). Consistant slant isn't bad, inconsistant is bad. Stay away from Big Buck Hunter; it is video game crack.

You are welcome.

There are several other bars within walking distance with lesser selection of beer, but certainly not lacking for atmosphere:

Last Exit - 136 Atlantic Ave - people
Magnetic Field - 97 Atlantic Ave - music
Montero Bar and Grill - 73 Atlantic Ave - OLD bar, dive = great people
