Please Help! Would love some suggestions for an alternative to a spiral ham for a holiday dinner Buffet. Any menu suggestions for other items to serve "Buffet Style" would be very much appreciated!

I have made Parmesean Tuille Baskets many times and used them for Mini Ceasar Salads. Just found a recipe using these baskets as a holder for Mac N' Cheese! Does anyone have a recommendation for another hard cheese that would work for this....I was thinking perhaps a Manchego or a Dry Aged Jack Cheese. I would really appreciate some advice! Thanks!

Looking forward to an upcoming first time trip to Montreal for two nights. Managed to get a 9:30 reservation at the Bar at Garde Manger for our first night (Fri), but was hoping for a table. Would we really enjoy our dinner at the bar? This restaurant appeals to me because of the great reviews and the fact that it has a fun/trendy atmosphere, but would I be better off at a table somewhere else?

I meant the game, although to him the game is the real show!!!!!!!! I am not too familiar with restaurants in the theatre district but was hoping to find one that would have seating in a bar area that would have the game playing.

Thanks everyone.....I love all of your ideas. I have never made Italian Rice Balls, but am going to give it a try! and with an Asian spin I think they will be delicious!! I don't know what I was thinking with the chopsticks, but come to think of it, I don't think they are necessary!!!! Anyway, thanks again!!!!

Thinking about getting creative and making Asian "inspired" rice pudding, but to take it a step further turn the rice pudding into rice balls and serving them in chinese takeout containers with chopsticks as a passed item for my holiday party.

I'd love your advice/opinion.......does this sound appealing or weird??? ....can you actually make rice pudding balls?.....what can I do to make them Asian???

Watched Behind the Bash the other day and was blown away by the appetizers done by caterer Barton G. Unforuntately......the Food Network isn't giving the recipe for the Coconut Crusted Voodoo Shrimp (or any of the other recipes....this episode must have been aired a long time ago and they no longer have the recipe available).
