We are staying in the downtown (west end) area. We won't have a car so hopefully somewhere not too far or easy to reach by public transport. I know there are a lots of posts on the "best" dim sum, but I'd appreciate your thoughts :) |

I'm wondering if the dim sum availability/variety is the same on weekdays as on weekends? We are visiting Vancouver at the end of May and trying to decide when to do for dim sum. Thanks! |

Any ideas for where I can find this? Looked in Sprouts and Fry's with no luck. |

Healthy and quick lunch in Chandler? How about the Whole Foods - there are lots of great options there, you can dine in or take out. Next to it is also Paradise Bakery. Along Alma School are several spots including Saigon Pho, On Chandler Blvd across from the mall (next to Great Indoors) is Thai Cafe which has a cafeteria style line as well as order off the menu. ----- |

I've been twice, try the hand pulled, with ground pork noodles. Also check out the board for specials, which is where you might find the vegetables... |

Lunch near Musical Instrument Museum (near Tatum & 101) We are heading up to the new MIM museum and are looking for lunch recommendations - there appear to be lots & lots of chain places nearby. Anything non-chain & tasty in the area? |

Denver - good eats near Convention Center Thanks for all the ideas. I ended up having lunch (buffet) at LIttle India which was nice, a dinner at 9th Door - tapas which was really good and I ended up there at happy hour so they had great prices. I also at at Marlowes and Paramount Cafe which are kind of similar in my mind, and were both good. The other thing I ate a lot of was salads - Denver seems to have a lot of pick your own salad places, which were good for quick healthy food. Finally I had breakfasts at the Corner Bakery and at a chef place also on 16th street. Prices are pretty high overall, but normal for a downtown/convention type area. ----- Corner Bakery Cafe |

Denver - good eats near Convention Center I'm looking for any asian or other type ethnic - entrees hopefully less than $15 for dinner and less than $10 for lunch as I'm on a limited budget. Not too interested in burger and other chain food which is normally what one finds near a convention center. Most days I'll be pretty busy - esp during lunch - so any recommendations for places close to the convention center would be appreciated. |

Dining recomendations for Mall of America (MSP)? Thanks everyone. We'll be arriving in MSP around 2 PM so perhaps the park and Sea Salt will work for us. We'll enjoy being outdoors - coming from AZ at this time, you can't spend more than 5 minutes outdoors without begging for mercy... |

Dining recomendations for Mall of America (MSP)? Thanks! We only have a few hours in MSP airport, and rather than hang around the airport, we thought we'd either go to the MOA or to a near by park (Minnehaha park) depending on our mood and the weather... |

phx - crooked sky farms last day at the dt farmers market Do you mean at the corner of Southern & 40th street near the Walgreens? There is a farm there and a stand but we've never seen anyone sell anything there. More info would be great as this is down the street from us! |

This was our 4th year attending, and we really enjoy the event. Its much more fun (although also costly) than say the Scottsdale food festival. Each booth was from a great restaurant - Taco Bell is not an exhibitor :) I also agree with getting there early - a bit after opening so everything is up and running but no long lines. The location at the art museum is great since you can take a break from the food and go inside to see the art. (When the event was at the AZ center, we went to see a movie in the middle..) |

Spanish/Tapas restaurants in Denver I'm looking for a great Spanish/Tapas restaurant in Denver. I'll be there next week with my sister, and would like to take her to a Spanish restaurant. (We tried to do this during a vacation in NY and its the one thing we didn't get to :) Thanks! |

Decent Chow on 10 between Blythe and Phoenix? I posted same question a few weeks ago and took the advice and packed a lunch. However if you can snack on the way and get closer to LA... try http://dintaifungusa.com/ which had great dumplings. More info on the California board. |

Anyone visited Cork Restaurant in Chandler, AZ? Has anyone been here yet? Menu looks interesting but pricy and the one web review I found listed mediocre service and small portions. http://corkrestaurant.net/home/ Thanks! |

Santa Fe Recomendations - High & Low end Thanks for all the advice. We had a great time and food in Santa Fe. We ended up going to dinner at Cafe Guadalupe - great NM style food, reasonable prices. Chocolate Maven for brunch - very good food - excellent hot chocolate. Urban Pizza for take out pizza - nice pizza - very long wait. Tea House for lunch - nice food, expensive tea (up to 28 a CUP). Jinja for dinner - try the shaken beef. Pyramid Cafe in Los Alamos - a mediternian cafe - very reasonable prices, good food. San Svastian - more upscale NM food - we really enjoyed the food (chile raviolis!!) and had great service and finally back in ABQ - La Placita in the old town area. |

Santa Fe Recomendations - High & Low end We'll be heading out to Santa Fe in mid March and I wanted to get some recommendations from the board. A search of past postings showed a lot of comments re high end places, but any ideas on lower cost places for lunch or dinner? Also, we'll be driving back and forth from Albuquerque to the airport, any ideas for places to stop by on the way or near the airport? Thanks! |

Laveen/Litchfield Recommendations Not exactly Laveen but not far is Spokes Restaurant just north of the northwest corner of Central and Dobbins in Phoenix (right behind the Circle K). This is a casual, burger and health food type place. |

Great food near Kierland Commons? Thanks everyone for the recommendations. I ended up making a reservation at Binkleys which I realized was really not that far from our hotel. We might end up going to Muze for lunch the next day just so I can finally check it out after getting so many emails from the owner's email list about the new place. |

We just came back from a great dinner at Golden Budda. I've noticed some bad reviews for dim sum there - I haven't been in a while for dim sum so I can't comment, but the dinner was wonderful. We had some relatives in town and were celebrating birthdays so we ordered more entrees than usual including a Peking Duck. The duck was great - served in three courses - crispy skin with steamed buns, soup and as lettuce wraps. We also had shrimp Hong Kong style, chicken and eggplant hot pot, Kung Pao shrimp and baby bok choy (with shrimp paste sauce). Everything we had was very nice, service was very attentive. To add to the ambiance, there were two piano players, who played an array of classical and light tunes - which our relatives really enjoyed. |

Great food near Kierland Commons? Will be taking my husband out for his birthday dinner in early December on a Sat. night and we'll be staying at a hotel near Kierland Commons. Any recommendations for a great place near there? French food would be a plus. We've eaten at Zinc Bistro several times and love it, but I was thinking of trying for someplace new. I'd prefer a stand alone place, not in a hotel if possible. Has anyone tried Muze Lounge? I get the emails from the owner, but haven't been there (went to his old locations called Fosters). Thanks! |

Seeking Asian Buffet for inlaw visit (E. Valley or Central) My in-laws enjoy eating at buffets and they'll be visiting in a few weeks. We've gone a few times to the Hong Kong buffet on Chander & I-10 and I'm wondering is there anything better out there. Thanks! |
