Around the world in 5 days, Las vegas culinary trip
Josephni - re your question about Country Club. Yes it is.
Diners, Drive-ins, Dives, and Disgusting
I'm too lazy to read some of the earlier posts here, so I'm not sure if this has been addressed, but....my only complaint about this show is his (to me) annoying habit of being in the kitchen asking the chef how a particular dish is cooked and then interrupting him/her with his guesses as to ingredients/cooking time/ cooking temperature.
Food Network Does It Again
Well, the prep time for Paula Deen's english peas recipe is five minutes. Four minutes to find a can opener, and one minute to eat a few biscuits, y'all.
Anyone have any comments on BJ's Brewhouse and Restaurant
There is also a Yard House at the Red Rock Casino. Gordon Biersch does have pretty good garlic fries.
Ocha
One of my favorite places. It has had its share of Health Department issues, but be that as it may...
Restaurant Week Report - Japonais
I am at the Mirage often, and I have never seen anyone actually eating there! Thanks for the review!
Best gin martini in Las Vegas

summerlin
Summerlin is pretty vast - what part? Grimaldi's (in Boca Park) has good NY-style pizza, on a par with Broadway Pizza on Rancho. There is a terrific taco/burrito/menudo place (Tacos el something, I can't remember the name) in the Albertson's shopping center on Cheyenne and Rampart/Durango (it's next to Steiner's). I second the Vintner Grill and Marche Bacchus recommendations as well. And, if you are in the mood for a good steak but don't feel like going to one of the gazillion Strip steakhouses, the ones at Red Rock Casino (TBones) and Suncoast (SC Prime) are quite good.

I have been to Calypso Grill many times for dinner, and loved it!
An Italian dinner for one.
Car? Bootlegger's Bistro. No? That's a tough one. Maybe Rao's, for ridiculously over-priced, but yet competently-prepared, standard cliche dishes.
Looking for something old school downtown
Golden Steer has been on a "downhill alert" for quite some time. Go to Triple George, decent ambience.

Family dinner in Las Vegas - help!
And you are across the street from the Venetian/Palazzo complex, with its gazillion restaurants.
Bortolotta or another place for a splurge
If you haven't been there, I would suggest Picasso at Bellagio. I say "if you haven't been there" because its tasting menu changes only slightly, but is really quite good nonetheless.

Best Steak Place?
One thing we have here in abundance is great steak places. My go-to continues to be Prime at the Bellagio, but your mileage may vary.

Heads up on a "No Name" Pizza place at the Cosmopolitan Hotel
Great place, been there several times. Plus they have (1) PBR on tap; and (2) an early-90's vintage Galaga video game machine!
Bagel Cafe Las Vegas
There are two places that I go for bagels here (and I can't tell you the exact name of either!) - one is located in the Smith's shopping center on the NW corner of Rampart and Lake Mead; the other in the Smith's shopping center (purely a coincidence) on Rancho between Charleston and Alta (it's a very tiny shop, between Starbucks and Broadway Pizza).
Cheap Eats ON the strip
At the Cosmopolitan, D.O.C.G. is the "little sibling" of Scarpetta; good dishes to share. And, of course, the "hidden pizza place" there as well. PBR on tap, and very good pizza.
Vegas Trip - Marche Bacchus, Rosemary's, China Poblano, etc.
Love Marche Bacchus! Great place to sit outside on a nice day and have some wine and pretty good food. Next time you are at the Cosmopolitan, if you still have a pizza craving, try the "hidden pizza place" there. On the 3rd floor, just to your left as you get off of the escalator, there is a hallway; it is at the end. REALLY good pizza (by the slice or whole), Pabst Blue Ribbon on draft, a couple of vintage video game machines as well. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Hash house vs Hash house ago go
Hash House is a local gem. Hash House a Go Go is crap.

Breakfast - Bouchon vs Peppermill
If that breakfast at Peppermill cost you "$25 after tip", you must have left one heck of a tip.
What's the name of this steakhouse?
This? No bird in the name, but some of the other clues fit.

Around the Convention Center
Piero's, on Convention Center Drive. A legend, and not just for its osso buco.
Lola's - A Louisiana Kitchen
The name says it all, and it is terrific. Can recommend the broiled oysters, the "crawpuppies", catfish and grits, crawfish (of course), and Abita beer to boot. On Charleston Boulevard, just east of I-15, close by the Premium Outlets.

Old Vegas ambience off strip for older couple
Agree with Piero's; and I think that Hugo's is crap.
