Carrot Cake - Peninsula

I would like some recs for a decent place to purchase a carrot cake on the Peninsula. I did a search on the board, but the recs are a bit outdated.

Thank you for any and all advice!

San Francisco Bay Area Farmers Markets Recs

This is great! You folks on the SF Board are really informative, helpful and quick responders. Thanks again for all your help!

San Francisco Bay Area Farmers Markets Recs

Fantastic. Thank you everyone for all your quick and informative responses. However, can anyone shed light on the East Bay farmers markets, particularly the Berkeley market?

Thanks again for all your help.

"Fragrant Pears" At San Gabriel Superstore [moved from L.A. board]

The fragrant pears are not the same as the yali pears. Ilike the fragrant pears much better than any other kind, except for the ones you can get in the Far East, of course.

San Francisco Bay Area Farmers Markets Recs

I've been to the one at the Ferry Building. While there is a large variety of offerings, the prices are really high and it is too crowded with tourists. Are there other markets with similar offerings, less to no tourists, and perhaps better prices?

My family used to go to this Szechwan restaurant on El Camino Real in Menlo Park in the 70's and 80's. I know they are no longer there, but I did find an O'Mei Restaurant serving Szechwan cuisine in Santa Cruz. Can someone please let me know if this is the same restaurant but relocated? If so, are they still owned by the same owners and did the food change?

Korean Food Primer

[This thread was moved from the Los Angeles Area board --The Chowhound Team]

Since there are many Korean restaurants that do not have descriptions or even English on their menus, could someone knowledgeable please post a list containing the most common every day food items and their descriptions, e.g. bulgogi, kalbi, etc.?

Much appreciated.
