Toledo - one night

Sammo....well I did go,to the Bluewater Grill tonight. Shared a smoked Salmon appetizer, they do their own smoking, it had blueberry jam on top with crackers...really good. Dinner was walleye grilled , the wife had halibut..cole slaw with red wine vinegar was amazing, bread also very good. Shared a key lime pie for desert. Bluewater Grill is a keeper. Thanks to all for the great suggestion.

I was there on Wednesday night, outstanding. I am taking a group of ten back next week to share a whole bunch of things. Glad they are in Wmsbg, I got tired of driving to Richmond. They are doing a brisk business.

Ashland exit on I-95 (smokey pig)

Sniff sniff...the Smokey Pig (on US 1, Ashland exit) is closed. It was a great location to eat before heading to Williamsburg, (our home), or to meet people heading up and down I-95. At that exit
Is a lot of the usual fast food places but I want a place to replace "The Pig). home cooking, local cuisine, you know.

Any suggestions ?

Bob

Kentucky Bourbon Country Restaurant advice...

OK..taking the wife to Bourbon Country...the area triangulated by Lexington,KY, Louisville, KY, and Bardstown, KY. (about a 50 mile radius). Going to visit the distilleries, and try the local brews. Question is are there any good restaurants (and hotels) that we should eat or stay at..? How good is the Old Stone Inn in Simpsonville, KY, What bout the Old Talbott Tavern in Bardstown? Should I stop at the English Grill in the Brown Hotel in Louisville? or the OakRoom at the Seelbach Hilton ? All you Ky affictionados..give me some sound advice....all the info I get is from the internet and Bourbon Trail websites...Thanks in advance

Richmond, VA Lunch next week

Will be in Richmond VA on Monday...in the downtown area. But need to find a good
late lunch or early dinner restaurant. I have a car and can travel. Looking not necessarily the finest white tablecloth place, but not a greasy spoon either. Somewhere to have a nice meal with my son ..Thanks for any information.
