Four friends looking for an early (9AM) Sunday brunch place where we can chat and catch up with each other's lives (read - no loud music) around Everett, Malden Medford. Have heard of Hugh O'Neill's in Malden Square as a rec but wanted some other suggestions to choose from. Thanks so much for your always attentive responses. We are very easy to please as far as types of foods.

Charlestown Waterfront Restaurants
Four friends getting together for lunch and don't want to head into Boston (traffic, parking, etc.).
Charlestown is easy for us to get to. Besides Tavern on The Water, what other outdoor, on-the-waterfront restaurants exist?
I believe there is a hotel right there as one crosses over the bridge and I can't think of the name. It has outside seating.
Also, what are your takes on the Warren Tavern?

Supposedly (according to the sign Coming Soon La Vita Mia) it will be located at the old Tonino's on Hamilton St. in Saugus. Have not seen any progress or activity there at all, though.

fine dining on NShore - Urgent
Tivoli's on Exchange St. in Malden. You will not be disappointed. Very tiny and cozy . Husband/wife team and everything cooked to order. Has been there a very long time so that says something.

I just checked the brunh menu at Hugh's - outstanding and very very reasonable. And, a diverse selection. Not many places serve homemade corned beef hash. Thanks.
Candy pizza
There is a place on Broadway in Everett that does candy pizza. I bought it so long ago that the name escapes me. Maybe, Google CP in MA and see what happens.

Another fine place is right up from Hardcover - Brutole. It is set back from the road but is quite elegant inside. Food is good, too. Plus, it is open for lunch, also.

Looking for Boston Restaurant for Grad Dinner
I would second Meritage as it does have an elegant, special-occasion feel to it. AND, the view iof the harbor is stunning! It is a hotel restaurant, incidentally.

Heading to Parker House and Taj
Actually, the Taj did not open until 4 so we walked over to the Bristol Lounge and had a drink there.
We did not have the buffet at the Parker House; rather, we ordered off-menu. I had the 1/2 oder of Seafood Benedict which was a grilled crab cake with poached egg on an English muffin. That was very good. And, I had asked for a very soft egg. When the waiter brought it to me, he said that if it was not soft enough, he would take it back and have another one made. Mr. T raved about his corned beef hash! Service couldn't have been nicer - very attentive. Many many tables were occupied by 9:30. I believe many were staying there as they did not have coats when they came into the elegant room.
Have to definitely go to the Taj - my deceased father-in-law was the night manager of the Ritz for many years.
I would definitely recommend the Parker for breakfast.
Good soft serve ice cream?
I love the HUGE serving of soft serve (yogurt) at Costco's. AND, the price is sweet, too!

Heading to Parker House and Taj
Tomorrow we are having breakfast at the Parker House restaurant and then walking around Boston. Then, before heading back home will have a drink at the Taj.
Anyone eaten breakfast at the Omni Parker? Menu looks enticing. I also like how one can do 1/2 orders of the specialty eggs.
