A demonstration dinner at The Kitchen amost a year ago. A $225/pp meal but worth every penny.
My current drink of choice:
Given the hot summer months here in Sacramento, I have been reveling in the dry, french style rose's. They go great with all the foods of summer-bbq, tomatoes, basil, corn, etc. For a cocktail, it would have to be a vodka gimlet. I love the lime-it's very refreshing.
I really wish I could:
Give it all up and work in the food and wine industry. In what capacity, I have no idea but I truly do enjoy cooking, eating and reveling in the culinary arts.
My "Go-to" dinner party dish:
I don't know if I have one yet. I like to make a roasted tomato tart as an appetizer and grilled veggies as a side dish. Outside of that, I'm not sure if I have a 'go-to' dish yet in my repertoire. One of my faults that I am trying to work on is always trying new dishes-so I have yet to develop any 'signature' dishes of my own that are tried, tested and true.
My favorite comfort food:
Salad, garlic bread and pasta. I'm Italian so what else???
My top 5 favorite restaurants:
Biba (anything and everythign), Banderas (macho chicken salad, mussel or clam appetizer, grilled artichoke and of course, the corn bread), Tower Cafe (french toast for breakfast-no better way to start the day), Zuni Cafe (caesar salad and roasted chicken with bread salad)..that's only 4.
