Thanksgiving (well, just stuffing) help! I'm looking for a recipe for some for Thanksgiving. I was planning on making the mushroom and fennel bread pudding but some of my unadventurous flatmates have turned their nose up at that already. |

I'm not usually one for touristy gimmicks, and Romania certainly doesn't have many, but one of the best things we did when in Bucharest was go to the Count Dracula Club. And of course it was cheesy and the food was awful (although my friend did get a very interestingly presented 'tree of chicken') but I can honestly say it is the best story we've got from a very eventful trip. All my friends want to go to this place after hearing about and if you are up for a fun evening then I would recommend the dinner and a show. Also, Brasov is a very beautiful ski resort town in Transylvania that I think is worth checking out. |

cafe le coq is in oak park (the first suburb west of the loop). if you take the el, just get on the green line and get off at 'oak park ave' and it's just one block north. i haven't been, but i've heard good things from people that have. also, it's nice that oak park is finally getting some decent restraunts. |

i think it's delicious. the menu isn't very extensive, true. but for what it is (cheap, non-authentic burritos and tacos) it's pretty good. and the ingredients are good quality, free range, etc. mcdonald's has been trying to sell it for a while, so it may not be owned by them for long. also, the very spicy salsa there is some of the best i've had! |
