Best meal I ever ate:

A little Italian place on Clark just North of Francis Parker... no longer around. The waiter said,"The chef just got back from three months in Italy this morning and feels like cooking. You can order off the menu, or he can cook for you." He made eighteen dishes!

My current drink of choice:

Tequilla, but I like to pronounce it like Vivien Merchant did in Hitchcock's "Frenzy" She was the Chief Inspector's wife who was taking "Gourmet" cooking lessons!

I really wish I could:

Understand why Al's is popular... why does giadiniera get to mask beef but a tasty BBQ sauce ruins ribs? One way or the other people...

My "Go-to" dinner party dish:

Far too many to mention... I like to cook more than eat out.

My favorite comfort food:

Creamed Chicken on White Toast with fresh black pepper

My top 5 favorite restaurants:

Kasimer's Kustard Korner, 51st just west of Western, no longer around--awesome curly-que fries. Leo's Beef Burger's 51st just west of Damen--no longer around...All Greek Dancing With Leo J Roupas, best thin burgers ever. Mel Markin's-- no longer around. Lasagna Burger, 'nuff said. Vito's-- 50th and Ashland, no longer around, my life long love of beef's started here, I went to school with the owners daughter.
