Breakfast suggestions near Concorde

my family are staying in a hotel near Concorde and would appreciate suggestions for nearby venues for breakfast
thanks

need a suggestion as an alternative to allard

my current bookings are
allard,
L'ami jean
KGB
Chez Josephine
Frenchie

Having read the reviews on Allard, it seems my family can do better.

Can people please suggest an alternative which will complement the restaurants we have booked.
We will be travelling with 3 teenage kids so a 3 hat restaurant may be a bit too lengthy an experience for them
thanks

eating in and around Amoboise

I will be staying with my wife and 3 teenage children in Amboise and would like to know the name of a few high quality retaurants . We will have a car, so whilst we would prefer not to drive, happy to if the restaurant is materially better or special than what we may find in Amboise.
Thanks

Five Days in Paris with Teen Boys in Early June

i visited Paris last June with my 13 year old son and followed many of the chowhound recommendations...two pieces of feedback .1 we enjoyed L'ami Louis more than Chez L'ami Jean, and whilst we absolutely loved Chez Dumonet, would recommend you ask to be seated in the main room and not the small crappy room next to the kitchen! We are returning mid June (and conincidently also to Cap Ferrat) so i will be interested to follow the suggestions which are made to you . If you are able to provide feedback prior to June 18 as to your experiences it would be appreciated.
BTW, do you have (or any one else) a view on George V compared to the Crillon???
thanks

Christmas lunch

I will be arriving in london early in the morning on Christmas day and flying out that evening with my wife and teenage children. We are looking for a restaurant to have lunch that day. Not particularly after a turkey or an 8 course feast, but keen to have outstanding food. I would appreciate any suggestions as to where we might go

Where should I stay/eat in the Luberon? Where to eat on a Sunday and Monday in Avignon? (questions on Provence)

I have recently returned from provence and the best meal we had in Avignon was at Chritian Etienne.
If you go to St Remy, do yourself a favour and visit the chocolat shop of Joel Durand.....extraordinary!!!
As for the best place we stayed and ate was in Le Beaux. i though Ousteau de Baumaniere was exceptional, and the town is great, especially if you are staying nearby and can go early or late and beat the crowds. Our meal at Ousteau was fantastic, though to my surprise we had a better (and cheaper meal ) at its sister hotel Cabro D'or. The ambiance of Ousteau beats Cabro, but in terms of food Cabro rated ahead.

Help:Loire Valley Food and Accomadation

Phil.,
I notice that you are one of the few people mentioning Passage 53.....have you tried yourself or is your recoemmendation based on the reviews? Would you go there over Cheaz Dubonnet josephine?
thanks

phil, I note that youa re one of the few people who mention Passage 53. Have you been there? Which would you recommend between Passage 53 and chez dumonet josephine??

crepes in Paris

Souphie, your analysis is correct, we prefer sweet crepes, not savoury ones, though were hoping to have these at a cafe for lunch rather than a fancy restaurant. Does Le Pot O Lait do sweet crepes (eg Grnad marnier, or Chocolat)?

crepes in Paris

is there any where outstanding to have crepes in paris? I have read about breizh cafe, but i am unexcited about buckwheat crepes. I am staying off the Champs Elysees , so if proximate to that , would be ideal. I have found that by just going to a stall they have a pile of already made crepes which are just not as great as freshly made ones! Happy for a stall or a cafe , just after quality please

dinner near the theatre

I am going to be in london in 3 weeks and need a place to eat, before the theare. one theatre is in Drury Lane (oliver) , and the other one is in the West End (war Horse) .
We are after a place relatively close where we can have an excellent meal and be out by 715. I am not price Sensative, but keen on outstanding food?
Any ideas would be appreciated
thanks

Final Thoughts--Eating Barcelona!

can some one tell me please, which of these places (if any) take bookings?

thanks

Madrid with my 12 year old Son

I have asked the hotel i am staying at for dinner recommendations and they have booked the following 3 restauratns .....Viridiana, Balzac and Dassa Bassa.
Would any chowhounds please either confirm their recommendations or make other suggestions. I need to be able to have a really good meal in less than 90 minutes so that my son doesnt get too bored. The place can be (but doesnt need to be ) pricey.
thanks

paris and provence with my 12 year old son

thanks Souphie

so if i may ask please what 4 or 5 places would you suggest in paris, which will have something to keep my son happy and also great parisian food so that i wont feel i have wasted my dinners in Paris?

paris and provence with my 12 year old son

thanks Souphie,
would you have any other comments on the other places booked?

sydney itinerary, looking for feedback

as an alternative to spice i am, i would suggest Longgrain.. you cannt book, but the bar is a great place to have a drink and wait, or just get there by 630..be aware however, that it is shared tables.
As an alternative to eating at the sydney fish markets, perhaps go to the restaurant at fratelli fresh in potts point, that has an extraordinary quality italian food at really affordable prices

paris and provence with my 12 year old son

I am a very passionate foodie, and will be travelling in France with my 12 year old son in July. The trip is about him and a bonding experience, so i don't want to bore him (too much) with food (though if he gets steak and chips and we can be out of a restaurant in 90 minutes or so he will be happy.) The places i have booked in Paris are L'entrecote, Passage53, chez Francis, Wepler (before a show at the Moulin Rouge) and Chez L'Ami Louis...then in Avignon, Christiean Etienne and La Fourchette, then Oustau de Baumaniere (we have an open night at Les Baux...any suggestions?????) , and finally the restaurant at Le Castellas in Provence. I would be thrilled to hear any alternatives anyone would suggest, if there are better or more appropriate choices.
thanks
