Best CT restaurant with a view
Abbott's is a tourist trap. A great picninc; instead of ants you get seagulls. Boulders is what we used to call a clip joint. Outrageous prices because the NYers visiting on the weekend will pay. As for a view, the ON20 recommendation is excellent in every way
ANY good Chinese in CT?
Treat yourself to Meadow in Simsbury. Best Chinese/Asian food in the state.
Upscale in Glastonbury?
If you will be in the area often, you may wish to try the Golden Lamb Buttery in Brooklyn --- Brooklyn, Connecticut. It is a wonderful experience. My NY, NY born and bred wife loves it. Take a look at the website and see what its about. www.goldenlamb.com; they have a hayride with cocktails and a guitarplayer, a working farm and winderful home cooked food. Not too far from Glastonbury and a unique type of place. Enjoy.
Where are you going for a good steak in CT?
Mario's in Westport, hands down - best steak and best value.
Good Seafood Restaurant in Central CT
Maine in East Windsor is the best kept secret in Hartford County. Great fresh food, fab service, huge portions and reasonable prices. One minute from I91 exit. As for the others mentioned inthe responses. Tinkers is simply a dump. Always filthy, plastic plates and self service. Unless you bring one of their ubiquitous coupons, its quite overpriced. City Fish is tops for seafood, but you are eating in their warehouse. Limited hours; zero atmosphere. Chowderpot isn't bad, but it's a glorified diner. The Max restaurants are certainly excellent but we're talking serious money here.
Looking for a couple of suggestions near Pittsfield MA and New Lebanon NY
Trattoria Rustica is marvelous
Looking for Hartford area restaurant specials
The recession buster is terrific; the pub menu is also a great bargain every night.
