CLAM PIZZA - WHERE TO GET SOME Anyone know where to get a good clam pizza (no shells) west of La Brea? |
Correct. You would have thought they would operate the shack until the new space was ready. |
Almost too upsetting to contemplate. |
Looks like they are building a new venue next door but right now the old dive and the new are both closed. Great chicken, poor planning. |

Most anticipated openings of 2013? Chi-Lin West Hollywood. Looking forward to trying the high end Chinese from the founder of Joss. Room is beautiful. |

EMPORIUM THAI - SOUTHERN THAI FEAST If you go, please post your thoughts. |

Any great Thai / Indian restaurants in the Westside? Totally disagree. I had the opportunity to talk to the owner and they are constantly refining their menu and use local produce. Also, only place that has a great selection of Southern Thai. |
I thought that was a good choice too, but OP said 11:30. Hal's is the call. |

EMPORIUM THAI - SOUTHERN THAI FEAST I have had the southern thai dishes at Emporium and agree that you cant find anything like it on the westside. Thats a good thing. Cant wait to try some of the other selections. Sounds like quite a meal. |

Kevin is correct. Just a tour. |

Help for husband's 40th bday in Venice area Sam's at the Beach is very good, IMO the service at Gjelina is iffy and its very crowded. No bar either although you might not care. |

need recs for sunday ladies' birthday lunch A tad west but how about outside at Chateau Marmont? |

Emporium Thai - Westwood Outstanding Thai on the westside Cant believe it took so long to discover this place. Thank you Thor! Food is outstanding. Been there three time in the past three weeks. The Crying Tiger Pork is off the charts as is the Morning Glory Salad. Cant wait to try some new dishes. |
Emporium is by far the best Thai on the westside. |

pace in hollywood...anyone been there lately? Try Sierena. Agree with Thor. Great menu and great vibe. I thought the prices were very reasonable for the quality and the patio is one of the nicest in town. I hope they do great. Have not been to Pace though. |

Moon shadows? Really? Respectfully NO. SAMs by The Beach is the call. |

I have heard very good things. Its a great room. |

Free Range Fried Chicken in Los Angeles? Thats the best, Is it free range? |

Love the room at Craig's and think Craig is great. The food can be a bit hit and miss though. Recently, I had the baby back ribs which were very good. The warm Quinoa salad is really good too. Find the honey fried chicken too sweet. |

As good as Chez Jay & The Galley in S M used to be With all due respect, I must say that the one meal I had at Billingsley's was about as depressing and bad as I can recall. Not close to Galley or Chez Jay in any way, shape or form. |

Had a fantasic dinner at Sirena which recently opened in the Pene Vino space on Beverly and Switzer. Totally redone with a great vibe and bar and the patio is maybe the nicest in town. Its owned by Peter Garland (Porto Villa), Sandy Gendel (chef at Pace) and Michael Sutton (the Lodge). Sirena is the best of all of them IMO. We had the salmon pizza (outstanding), oysters, pasta with short rib (crazy good), lamb shank (very goood) and salmon (one of the nicest presentations I have seen). Deserts were winners too although I was so stuffed I just had a taste. Its hard to see from the front on Beverly and most people seem to enter through the patio in the rear (like they did at Pene Vino). They had a good crowd but the service was attentive and the place was very lively without being too loud. I hope it does well as there are not many places like it. |

Frida Beverly Hills - Great Carnitas Plus One on the Carnitas. Really good. They have another pork dish that was recommended. Similar preparation but with a sweet orange sause. Not big on sweet sause and couldnt break away from the Carnitas, so cant say how it compares. |

The new Spago...definitely not worth it! Surprised. I went to both and found the prices much higher (much may be a stretch but higher) at Spago. Also, the drinks we so expensive and small is was silly at Spago. Food was good at both IMO. |

I really like Red Medicine and Salt's Cure You are missing out on uni! What are the other 4? |

I liked Mercato very much. Agree it has outstanding pizza and I get the Mezze reference. Mezze was unique. Have not tried Duplex. Menu looks interesting. AOC opened on the same block. |

800° Degrees Pizza is now officially open for business - YAY! yep and as you previously suggested, tell them to do it well done. |
