Mimi's Fried Pies in Breckenridge?

Any one had these? Are they good? I know it's hard to get a fried pie that's light and not greasy, so wanted to get some opinions. Thanks!

New Years Eve on Kauai

Making reservation for New Years Eve dinner (and honeymoon!)...should I do Josselin's or Red Salt? Thanks!

Chart House, McCormick Parkway, Scottsdale?

Funny, I was just driving by the Chart House with my parents and we were reminiscing about when it first opened and how it was the only place to get good fish....used to eat there all the time. I haven't been there for about 15 years, was suprised to see they are still open. My parents met friends there a few months ago and said it was terrible, like cafeteria food. Eddie V's & Wildfish Grille are both excellent seafood places. Actually, most places stay open in the summer now, not like the "old days", Razz's is the exception.

Pizza in Denver

Thanks! Noticed almost everyone has happy hours...nice!!!!

Pizza in Denver

Already had Osteria Marco on my list, but for the salumi...I'll add the pizza to list. I read about Buenos Aires Pizza...is it good? More like deep dish? Where is Marco's Coal Fired...close by downtown or more of a hike? We have Grimaldi's coal fired pizza here that I'm fond of. Thanks for the suggestions.

Thx!

Breakfast on Kauai?

What are some favorites for breakfast in the Poipu area, both for leisurely splurges and local cafes/diners? Also, how about on the North Shore? Thanks!

Suggestions by area

Wow...sounds really interesting! Thanks for the heads up re: steam table...you're right, I would probably leave if I didn't know better! Hope this isn't a stupid question, but what is "guisados". And where is CIty Heights...I'm mapping all the areas and this is a new one to me!

Razz’s, Rancho Pinot and Sassi

Agree with Rancho Pinot...Razz's just gets too weird sometimes and agree with Sassi being overpriced...beautiful view though...

Also, I noticed a lot of love for Super Cocina...in Normal Heights...where is that? Can't find a website, is it old school Mexican?

Suggestions by area

Thanks again for all the input....only question left is if the Mariscos truck is there on a fairly steady basis, or at what time is the best to catch it?

Suggestions by area

Thanks for all the info! I could care less about breakfast, it's my husband who lives for it, and he's pretty old school about it...what about Cafe222? Any ideas for Coronado or just skip? Any feedback on Burger Lounge? Also, what are the favs at Marisco and are they there everyday or just sometimes and at what times? Wish we had truck food in AZ.... (and an ocean for that matter!). I go to Austin alot and they have phenomenal truck food. Oh, at Wine Vault is it ONLY prix fixe or tasting or can you order off menu also? Thanks again!

I've found it at AJ's and also Williams Sonoma.

BBQ in PHX? I'm from Texas

Better start saving up for placne tix back to Texas...there isn't anything like good Texas bbq here. The best I've found is Dillon's (in Glendale or Peoria?) and there is a really good place in Flagstaff called Satchmo's. Most of the bbq places here drown it with sauce, and don't seem to get the whole 18 hour smoking thing....

Suggestions by area

Read lots of posts to familiarize myself with SD food scene. I will be staying in the Gaslamp/East Village Area & will have a car. Here are the places that most everyone seems to agree on....any feedback & do I have them in the right neighborhoods?
East Village - Cafe Chloe, Cowboy Star (is the quality in line with the prices), Broken Yoke for breakfast, also what about Basic Urban Bar for pizza?
Gaslamp - sounds like there aren;t too many good ones here, except Oceanaire?
Little Italy - Bencotto
North Park - Linkery, Jayne's Gastropub, Ritual Tavern & Urban Solace
Banker's Hill - Cucina Urbana
Hillcrest - Bruno Pizzeria...LOVE good pizza (don't even want to start a Pizzeria Bianco war, but that's the type I'm looking for...thin charred crust, etc.) Are there any other favorites (not neccessarily in Hillcrest)
Ocean Beach - Mariscos German food truck - where is it...is it Mexican seafood? What to order?
La Jolla - Tapenade or George's. I went to George's back in the 80's I think, has it been around that long? Still good and keeping up on food trends? Also, should I do the California Modern rest or the Ocean Terrace?
Also, noticed Burger Lounge....sounds good, but haven't read too much praise on here, should I skip?
Wine Vault looked good, but do they only do prix fixe or tasting menus..website was not really clear.
Lastly, any good places on Coronado?
Thanks!

Marine Scenic Drive from Victoria to Butchart Gardens?

That looks perfect, thanks!

Marine Scenic Drive from Victoria to Butchart Gardens?

Any suggestions for good places to eat on this route or should I just eat in Victoria?

Serious Pie or Via Tribunali?

Thanks for the advice! I'll give Serious Pie a whirl, or maybe just eat more seafood!

Serious Pie or Via Tribunali?

I enjoyed the pizza at Via Tribunali the last time I was in Seattle, at the original location. I will be going back in a few weeks and see there are quite a few around Seatlle. Are they all as good as the original, or some better than others? How about Serious Pie? (Just to warn you, all pizzas are measured against Pizza Bianco's, so I'm verrrrrrry picky!!) Thanks!

Beaver Creek Brewey is great for lunch. The daily chile is always good. Also, get the warm soft pretzels (homemade). They are listed as 3 on the menu, but you can just get 1, just ask. The cheese-ale pot that comes with it is so good. I always wondered what made it so tangy, and found out last time I was there it was blue cheese, (which you would think would be obvious), but it has so many other flavors that throw you. You have to try it!
