Burlington VT, and surrounding areas?
I know this is late, but, I'd have to 2nd the suggestion of Shelburne Inn. We had breakfast there last fall on the patio overlooking beautiful Lake Champlain. I had pancakes with freshly made peach syrup. Who needs maple syrup with that option? And I'm a born and raised Vermonter.
Another suggestion is the Inn at Baldwin Creek, just North of Bristol on Rt 116. We had the best breakfast there last fall!
Rte 89 through Vermont.
Exit 10 to Waterbury to Park Row Cafe. Great breakfasts and lunches. They often have an omlete special on Saturday that has cabot cheddar, spinach, roasted red peppers and bacon. Wonderful! Of course I always have to have a thick slice of their homemade cinnamon raisin bread.
Best food near Stowe, Vermont
A good breakfast spot is the Park Row Cafe on the park in Waterbury. I just returned from lunch at Ocha, the new Thai restaurant in town. Food was great. If you're looking for Mexican or Caribean then try Marsala Salsa on Stowe St in Waterbury
All places are fairly casual, esp. Park Row Cafe.
