Thank you. I know that there are tones of vegan ice cream recipes on the net.
Just wanted to have original recipes that people have actually tried at home and really like.

Recipe for Vegan Ice cream

I am looking for a nice vegan ice cream recipe. One that does not require an ice cream maker.
I am not strictly vegan so I am open to eating dairy but no eggs.
Thank you for your suggestions.

Pumpkin Gelato Montreal

Hello everyone,

I was wondering which ice cream parlor/gelateria in Montreal sells pumpkin flavor in the fall.
I tried one on Mt. Royal Av. last year and was not really impressed.
Thank you very much.

Pumpkin Foods in Toronto

I think they have few different locations in Toronto. You can look up their stores and see which one is close to you. Pumpkin Chai is quite nice. If you like it, make sure you buy extra because it is seasonal.

Pumpkin Foods in Toronto

I also love anything pumpkin.
One of my favorite is : Pumpkin Chai at David's tea. Best way to have it is with some milk and sugar. It is in part of their fall collection.
I also saw PC brand pumpkin ice cream at Loblaws for the first time.
Cobs bread has pumpkin scones.

Visiting Montreal this wkend -- looking for veg/vegan restaurant options

I think if a person is vegetarian, visiting Montreal aux vivres is definitely worth going to especially on the weekend for brunch.
I guess one can survive without alcohol once in a while!!!!!!!!
If you go there on the weekend better arrive as early as 11.30. One time I went there on a Saturday around maybe 1.00 p.m and the waiters would not even come to my table because it was too crazy busy.

Your favorite meals in Montreal $25 and under (including tax and tip)

Hello,

I am vegetarian and would like to suggest you try some of this great restaurants that are popular with omnivores too.
You should try Aux Vivres on St Laurent (St Laurent and Mt. Royal) If you go there on the weekend, go early like around 11.30 a.m when they open because after that it will get packed.
You should for sure try their Brunch which is great. They also have amazing fresh juices and desserts.

And Chu Chai on St. Denis (Asian)
I also enjoy a vegetarian Indian restaurant called Pushap close to Namur Subway. It is on Rue Pare. Not a great location but the food is worth the trip and it is really really cheap.
Everything on their menu is pretty good so it is hard to chose a favorite.
When it comes to markets, I love Marche Jean Talon close to the Jean Talon subway station.
There is a great ice cream parlor there called Havre Aux Glace and they have a Masala Chai sorbet that you will not find anywhere else.
I often go to the market solely to the Masala Chai sorbet
Another place I enjoy if you like tea is called David's Tea. They have many locations in Montreal but one is on Mt Royal near where you will be staying.
They have a great variety of tea. Right now their fall tea I love is pumpkin chai

Hope you enjoy your stay in Montreal

I would definitely suggest Chu Chai. All the other restaurants mentioned are great but Chu Chai is more unique.
