Great Food in a scenic setting on PCH between LA and Monterey

In Big Sur, you might want to consider dinner at Deetjen's Big Sur Inn, -- it is a bend or so south of Nepenthe and on the hill side, not ocean side. The food is lovely. Take a look at their website http://www.deetjens.com/ I used to camp nearby and we always went to Deetjens for dinner, a treat. A friend recently stayed here for his anniversary and they enjoyed it alot. sharry

Driving up to Chico in tomorrow morning; once we leave interstate 80 (outside of Sacramento) and start up 505/ hiway 5, looking for good food for breakfast or lunch, and then again on return for snacks or a break.

Will drive as far north as Orland on Interstate 5.

Thanks for any great food spots not to be missed; haven't driven this way forever.
