Does anyone also agree with me that Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles is just not that great?
ive eaten there 3 times...once in pasadena ..very so so....the chicken lacks moisture and tenderness....the service is very good..red beans and rice tasty and fresh.....chicken needs attention..a better batter would also help....

i have gone to la taquiza.very good food i tried carnitas burrito but the winner was the fish tacos ..good crust seasoned right yet delicate and moist...why not add fish to your list of proteins? just a thought.btw i was there about 3 months ago..authentic

i trekked it there sunday afternoon may 16 eager to taste the offerings...it was a clean place easy to find ample pkg...i ordered 2 versions of salmon..a cajun style with golden crisp garlic bread...nice...the fish was very fresh ..cooked to perfection and just slightly spicy..very good taste amd texture...the teriyaki salmon came with steamed veggies and mushrooms a healthy alternative to white rice(my first came with brown rice..cooked nice and hot)...the tangy sweet taste of the glaze makes my mouth salivate right now...again there is a skill and care applied to grilling fish.here..esp as it flakes with ease...yes im going back this weekend ...ther are specials on easel outside...(there is an outdoor patio)orange roughy for example...its only 7 minutes from my house..great value good price...

therein ... lies a jewel of succulent fruits some exotic such as a pomegranate fused with plum...white peaches...most i believe is organic at rock bottom prices...the helpful staff generously give out samples...pineapple for 1 dollar!!!!.....mr lunas produce has different varieties ..you can call him beforehand to see whats available as some are seasonal....he is @ location C-0.... I call him mr x for short...very knowledgable...helpful.....we go weekly to fill our appetites and to get our fix......his number is 323/353/9879....as you peruse the goods a band is usually playing on the grounds.....hope all have same experience i did...check it out

well...this is my 2nd visit..last being july 2009..great zarandeada fish..so.we arrived at approx 1oclock.a bit busy but treated to superb and warm service by sylvia...we ordered smoked marlin tacos..KABOOM..! flesh delicate...the cheese perfectly melted on a slightly charred(good thing) corn tortilla...and as we are watching nba playoffs slyvia suggested habanero on tacos! no problema just drizzle it for maximum punch.keep in mind iwanted to see if this place could hit back to back grand slams..next the fried shrimp ..great crunch ...golden brown and good size!...lastly sea bass with red salsa on top in a line...my goodness..sweet...spice perfecto....bass when cooked perfectly brings chorus of joys to me...ill go back no doubt......way to go chente!!!!!!

diesmillo?...oh hell no...to save a few bucks?..thats your choice if you like fat every half inch....stay with the asada...the homemade prep can be orange juicea little cumin..garlic powder..onions....cilantro...chili powder fine if you want..i like ground new mexico chili powder..some markets will prep it however added weight of ingredients can add up if money is an object..enjoy and experiment...vallarta..el superior all good choices due to high demand the meat is fresh..grill to thrill!

in reference to la paz...sunday provides a decent buffet and ambience outdoors..mariachi and decent food.fried salmon so good .succulent prime rib.turkey.call for details ..however on a scale of 1-10 re authenticity of mexican foods..give it a 7.0.....something for everybody

well.i of latin blood would refer you to my moms .but she would whoop my derriere into next pueblo..carillos..not bad. flour tortillas crumble next day...NOW el jerezano is only place i go...tortillas just right...good portions and reasonable...give it a shot....i love the fact its authentic...funny how some spots try to taco bell enhance it. when foodies love real thing...el jerezano rocks!

hmm..griddle house has a nice thick cut of bacon..pancakes look like manhole covers..all were good..i was told thei french toast is to die for. but thats for next time..the pantry is not gourmet..mind you ...obscene portions .very filling mind you...the coffee is very fresh...if the idea is to get full...this place does it for me... order the potatos on the crispy side..secret? to avoid the lines...go early or stay to the right and eat at the counter..faster and a tad roomier...good dive!

OMG-thats easy ...moderately priced is EMERILS- @ mgm grand...sweet bbq atlantic salmon..the sushi appetizers....gumbo! my god...food is nirvana...im not a wine drinker ..but please try dog point savignon ...almost an addiction...u will not be disappointed......yummy!!!!

my 1st visit to MARISCOS CHENTE
well today @ approx 1245pm i pulled up on my harley and wondered what the whole fish aka ZARANDEADO would taste like.i travel quite extensively to mazatlan and was treated 4 years ago to this wondrous dish.BTW. great vacation spot good eats and good drink without exhorbitant prices.ANYWAYS .i was given chips and a good fiery green chile sauce to be its companion.wow. REMEMBER i being of hispanic origin i grew up with this stuff instead of being breastfed so i can be a bit picky....i knew the wait for my dish would be 20-30 minutes...of course good things take time.sergio was the chef by the way.the plate arrived.semi seared .charred ever so slightly and moist and delicate..on the rim of the fish lay sliced cucumbers along with perfectly carmelized onions..corn tortillas also arrived.so before i started to make tacos. i decided to taste.WOW!!! the fish had hints of seasoned mayo. some soy sauce perhaps and flaky and moist . this man can cook like a champ. be prudent and look out for the bones. i saved the last piece to take home for my mom and dad...i cant wait to return..next time i will savagely attack the shrimp....i give it 5 stars...WAY TO GO!!!!too bad i had a coke only...beer would of been my preference but i was 20 mins away fron home and one just wont do..especially in 85 degree weather and good fish!!!!

KING FISH -in calabasas is tops...a few years back was voted best seafood by la magazine.. very fresh ..i tried chinnook salmon that was fabulous... mac/cheese yummy...has a crunchy top layer that fuses flavors.. there are also patios as well... give it a shot ..you will see why this place is packed...
