Denver - Brazilian Steakhouse/Churrascurria?
Hubs and I will be visiting in early August - we are DYING to try a churrascurria, as so far there aren't any in our location - have seen, from online searching, Texas de Brazil and Rodizio's in Denver - would love feedback from the Chowhounds on these or any others! THANKS!
DC Hound visiting: fish tacos in Monterey/Carmel
In Monterey, try also Lopez Restaurante y Cantina near the Monterey Post office. Family run and first-rate foods including one or two fish taco selections.
Another great one is Turtle Bay - they have two locations, one downtown Monterey a block off Alvarado Street (which is the main downtown one-way drag) and another in Seaside on Fremont Street. They have a variety of fish tacos and their salsas are excellent!
Passionfish and Thaiwaiian [Pacific Grove] report & questions
I know this is an old post but had to comment on Dos Amigos - it's very fresh, very tasty, and you can have black beans instead of refried. I love their carnitas!
Has anyone had the food at the Quail Lodge in Carmel?
If you mean the Covey restaurant, you'll want to know about this:

Oops, meant to reply to the OP, sorry! ;)
Carmel and Monterey - 2 lunches and 1 dinner
If you like Mexican food, go to Lopez Restaurante y Cantina in Monterey, near the Post Office. Family run, EXCELLENT and authentic food, wonderful salsa and the best refried beans I've ever eaten. My fave is the pork manchamantel but I've never had anything here I didn't like.
If you like Japanese, try Robata in the Barnyard shopping area of Carmel. It's a little hard to find - it's at the lowest level, under the windmill, on the parking lot side of the center - but well worth it! The ambiance is unique and every menu item is delicious, fresh, and of the highest quality. It's about the only place left that my hubby will order sashimi any more!
I believe both Katy's and the Cottage serve lunch, although it's been a while since I visited either one. Passionfish is supposed to be excellent for seafood - haven't tried it personally though!
Another good seafood choice, while a bit "touristy" in nature, is The Fish Hopper on Cannery Row - I've had several of their fish dishes and enjoyed them all. The views are excellent here. Also Chart House on Cannery Row has wonderful views and while a bit pricier than Fish Hopper, they have a wonderful and diverse salad bar and a nice menu.
