Funny, I do know they like that chain. I am trying to get it for somewhere they may not splurge on regularly.
How about "Capital Grille"
Some help needed! (looking to buy a gift cert)
Hello DC area!
I am looking to buy a gift cert. for a friend in the NoVa area(alexandria/fairfax,etc) Just looking for something not too "daring", but I want to treat them to a nice well executed, meal. Possibly some good old American dishes, steak, chops, seafood, etc, but done well.
I have narrowed it down to the following options, and would appreciate any help making the following selection. I think I am leaning towards the Evening Star, or Liberty Tavern.
1. Evening Star Cafe
2. The Liberty Tavern
3. Grille at the Morrison House
4. Eventide
I have checked the typical "review" sites, but can't really get a great feel for any of them. I always trust CH to come through.
I would appreciate any help picking one, and even am open to other suggestions if you have something else in mind.

Quick Pie Crust help..
Well i just prepared the crusts, so i can either freeze them till the morning and bake them, or bake them now, wrap them good, and then fill them tomorrow.. The latter is what i did for thanksgiving, and Xmas and they came out good..
As for the fillings, i am going to do a banana cream, chocolate cream, and coconut cream.
Quick Pie Crust help..
I am wanting to make a few pies for tomorrow(all cream pies). To lighten the load for tomorrow, i was going to prebake the crusts today, and then all i have to do is make the fillings tomorrow, and fill.
Would i be better off doing that, OR just preparing the dough today, refrigerating it untill tomorrow, then baking it tomorrow?
Lastly, if i made the fillings today, and store them in pyrex containers, would they be ok? I just worry that they will "set" to the shape of the containers, and be not look as smooth when transferred to the crust.
Thanks for any help
Few questions about Cork, Chandler AZ.
I was just curious for anyone who has been there, how many entree's per person, are usually needed to be sufficient? I am just trying to get a scope on price. I was thinking 2 entrees, and an app, would be good.
I have guests from out of town, and don't want to put them on the spot taking them somewhere were they will be spending 100+ a head.
I normally would not even care but we did Kai last night, and had a $700+ tab for the 4 of us.

Looking for good persian food(east valley AZ)
Thanks for the reply. I am just looking to try something different this weekend. I have been eating a TON of Thai food lately.
So can anyone recommend some MUST have food? I am open to all suggestions.
Looking for good persian food(east valley AZ)
Can anyone recommend any good Persian food in the east valley(mesa/Tempe/Gilbert/chandler) I was thinking of trying the Persian Room in Scottsdale, but was wondering if there was anything as good, but closer?
If you have any other suggestions for food in the East valley, lets hear them as well. I am on a mission to find as many good non-chain restaurants as i can. Being from the east coast, where almost everywhere i ate was privately owned establishments.
Thanks for any help.
