Sunday Breakfast/Brunch in Lower Bucks

Yeah--That's why I didn't bother mentioning Pat's. Food isn't bad, but the wait is terrible and I find the service iffy. It should be better than it is...

One other place you should try (not brunch, as far as I know) is JustEat by BrownGold in Buckingham. It's about 20 min from Newtown, in a cute Tudor-ish shopping center on 202-263. Check out their website...we had a great dinner there.

Some of our other favorites in the area are: Chinatown Cafe in Langhorne, Siam Cuisine in Newtown, Ota-Ya in Newtown, Bridgetown Mill House (Newtown-Langhorne Rd), and Blue Point Grill in Princeton. We always feel like there should be more.... A new place just opened in downtown Newtown called Grotto (have not tried it yet) and there's a pretty good Asian fusion in Newtown called Duck Sauce. Newtown also has Bagel Junction Deli--good New York style deli.
Enjoy!

Try Summer Kitchen in Penns Park (not far from Newtown). It's got a nice, eclectic menu. They have a website--you may want to call for a reservation.
It's one of the only interesting brunch places in the area! (we're not in love w/yardley inn)

Best Sunday brunch in Philadelphia?

We love Honey's Sit'n'Eat in Northern Liberties. Venture out of CC and you won't be disappointed! But go early.
Sabrina's is pretty good too. Jones also good, fun, retro.
And we agree about Morning Glory...not what it was.

Restaurant finds in/near Lower Bucks County--JustEat and Za

For those who live in the relative culinary wasteland that is Lower Bucks, here are 2 newish restaurants that deserve a mention...

In Buckingham, PA (Rte 202), try JustEat by BrownGold. It is a smallish BYO with an eclectic seasonal menu and a nice atmosphere. I had a tomato/goat cheese salad (heavenly w/August tomatoes) and a grilled lobster entree that were excellent. Desserts are highly recommended and are made in house. The owners/staff are very friendly and make you feel at home.

In Pennington, NJ (south of Princeton on Rte 31), there is a new BYO named Za. The menu is fusion-y but not to a fault. We had fantastic seafood dishes there as well (lobster picnic and crab fritters).

Bon Appetit, fellow suburbanites and adventurous Chowhounds!
